Yeah, you should have a total of 8 skills from your rolls and you were under-rolling...from what I'm seeing.

You can reroll with the correct use of points and allocate them the way you wish.

Sorry for the bit of suspense but I would assume that Eriko had used her jade badge reading techniques on each person involved in the ship adventure as well as their gear eventually.

Nobody is tainted but the zombies are very tainted. Due to how taint works in Banner, characters aren't tainted unless they willingly accept it.
