Welcome to the Asakaze, samurai! Please read the character submission guidelines carefully before submitting your sheet for our perusal. Also, you might want to take look into the workings of modern society as well as background information for the setting we have prepared for you. Events that impact the characters have been designed to level the field between people who have tons of time to post and those who don't; allowing the broader mechanical outcomes of the game to be decided via these smaller chunks of commitment. There are plenty of things to be affected via role play, but that tends to be fuzzy as player goals are way more diverse than any team of GMs could devise. Events are not designed to make sure every single school or character build gets a shining moment - instead the events reflect the needs and interests of the Phoenix and governor Asako Naokuni. We aim to include a broad swath of traits and skills, and balance difficulties for the crowd we have, but it's not perfect. Wonders of Asakaze is aimed at bushi and such PCs will have the easiest time fitting in. The nature of the game means that your character might be disappointed on how things turn out for them. In light of this I ask you to be polite in OOC and treat other players with kindness. Differences of opinion your characters might have should remain in-game. Snide and impolite comments in OOC will get you warned - once. There won't be a second warning. I want to spend my time creating a world where people can immerse themselves into, not herding cats. Also, do not expect to be able to murder other characters. That being said, if you have an idea how to make someone's life harder and you have a good IC reason to do so, we can talk. That being said, we'll hope you all have fun, and if you have any questions regarding character creation and/or background concerns, don't be afraid to talk with us, we'll be happy to help you. Also, some players check the boards at their workplaces, so please keep public content within respectful bounds. |
