Bayushi Akagi took advantage of the cool and clear weather that morning to take his otori, Daitan, out for a ride around the farmlands. The Scorpion gave a friendly wave to the drivers of the otori-drawn carts he passed, as well as the workers seen in the fields. The exercise would do his own animal good, he thought; though the truth was, Akagi had discovered that he actually rather enjoyed riding. |
