Can a weapon such as a rifle count as 'just in case'?

It doesn't say so, so no.

Since communicators are working, can Akemi call her mechanic servant for pointers on how to fix the power of the ship?

For the Eriko event here:

viewtopic.php?p=13425#p13425

When it says "Investigators gain 2 Investigation Points for investigating this area", does that mean that each investigator who investigates that area gets 2 points? Or that, the investigators get two points as a whole for any one of them investigating that area, repeats get nothing extra?

Is there any point visiting the Maintenance Tunnels without calling at least one Raise on the roll?

The event reads:
Quote:
Investigators gain no Investigation Points for investigating this area. A daring investigator attempt to navigate either through the maintenance tunnels, air vents or elevators shafts to get to where they wish to do. An investigator may make an Athletics/Strength roll at TN20. On success, they may investigate one location and an additional location for each raises successfully called.

Which suggests that calling and passing without at least one Raise is basically just going to another location in a more complex way.

I'll allow this as a cooperative roll, so the PC rolls and the NPC cooperates.

Each you get those points for each visit. So yeah, points are repeatable.

Yes, the idea is that it starts as a low base line and goes up from there. So you should call 2 raises to truly benefit.

Yeah, I'll roll for it once we have the 4 people there.

it says Initial post should include Init, but Init is based on result of Perception, so some people are slightly confused .. Is the way I did it (where i have 2 init totals depending on perception result) good? Or do I need to wait and reroll after the percpetion tn is posted?

It says in box text that the Drifter is at the AFT and people in the Bow can not engage with it.
It says in the combat info that the Drifter is at the Prow those at Prow are engaged and Aft are not.

Can we get clarification?

Can the Great Hunt be completed nonlethally with a web gun? And then uh... release the Raker far away from town?

...someone had to ask...

Alas, no. I mean, yes you can shoot it with webber and then call the locals to finish the task, but... uh... no catch and release.

I should have checked, can these be done across multiple turns as free actions or have to be all done in a single move?

Single move (so you are not oddly between spaces)

For the Wrasslin'

Quote:
Step Three: Punches, Kicks, and Strikes

Wrestlers must roll Jujitsu/Agility on their opponent. On success, the wrestler is given one Pop Point and on additional for each successful raise called.

Count as an Attack roll for the purpose of Technique (in my case, School Technique adds Honor to attack roll)?

In regards to the attack roll - would the B part of Strength in Terror count? And if so, what is the Honor of the Raker?

For the Asakaze Championship -

Is the jiujitsu roll counted as a weapon skill, or a bugei skill for purposes of Strength In Terror? If it is an attack roll, what is the Honor of the Basic Wrestler, and the Honor of the League Wrestler?

Overturning this ruling, yes the attack rule applies. Consider the wrestlers are at an average of 4.5.
