Honestly i thought about being older. but when you can do your gemppuku at like 15 or whatever, anything over 4 years or service just sounded like a bit much.

It was in the fluff somewhere but I believe gempukku age has been scaled up in the future. It is very possible to have your full teen drama then become an adult.
