D12 Boar 8th 3124 +++Thought for the Day++ Losses are acceptable. Failure is not. As sun raises the rain starts to fall, meaning that the city is both uncomfortably hot and humid. The wind blows from the east, dispelling much of the stench that had lingered on the streets. The downpour last the whole morning, with the skies clearing around early afternoon. The evening is cooler than on the previous days and the air is notably freshers, causing the streets to fill with people. Events [D12 EA] Ritual of Announcements The moon is waning crescent. Today the Miya News and Entertainment Network is streaming re-runs the 'About Fate' at 'Late Evening' time slot. Characters may either watch the broadcast on the screens of their hotel rooms or on the screen in the common room of the Wisteria Inn. Characters with densai or similar device may watch the movie wherever they want, though the image quality will be questionable at best. About Fate A serial about a Kitsu who can not only see the souls of the departed but also the lifespan of the living. Unfortunately, she finds herself with less than a year left to live as she pursues her goals and the need to leave a lasting legacy, despite only being a young shugenja. Through fate, she finds herself meeting another shugenja who will seemingly extend her lifespan. They form a very rocky and troublesome relationship that soon turns to love. |

Eta1: Where's your husband? Eta2: I don't know. I am getting worried. Eta1: He works at the castle, doesn't he? Eta2: Yeah. Eta1: Sounds like a safe job. Eta2: Yeah, he works for the magistrates. Eta1: That's so cool. What does he do? Eta2: He isn't allowed to tell. Phoenix1: So, it'd decided? Phoenix2: Yes. Phoenix1: Dreams... Phoenix2: And Clouds Phoenix1: Man, I need a drink. Phoenix2: Yeah, me too. Phoenix1: Didn't quite expect her to go that far. Phoenix2: Yeah, me neither. Phoenix1: I mean, I understand that the eta knew too much, but... Phoenix2: Yeah. I am not really sure we needed to kill them. Phoenix1: The new lord magistrate doesn't mess around Phoenix2: That's for sure! |

Character Goals Each character will be allowed to have one goal. Please post these in a thread in your Private Forum. You goal should be: -something within the character's capabilities. Convincing your daimyo to go to war isn't really something most of you have the connections for, for example. -something that can be accomplished within the next in-character year. -if it involves other characters, they may need to agree with your goal and possibly use their goal for the same thing. Alliance or trade agreement between two families would require both samurai involved to use their goals for the cause. Epilogues These are allowed, but by no means necessary. We just ask that you post them to your Private Forum first, for approval. |
