"I don't think we can do much to keep others from getting married nor it might be our place to do so. My father has held this miai so that all may find a match," she brought up. Of course, her father would be more than happy to collect the favour in the administration work that made any matches possible. |

"True. Are you participating in any of the trials?" He looks to the others. "I know I'm starting from nothing, and so most likely will be leaving the clan, if I can convince any to pick me." |

The mention of trials, and the reminder that in just an hour or two they would be amongst the otori, pulled Moriko’s attention back. “I intend to participate where I can. I’d rather not leave, if it can be helped,” she shrugged one shoulder. The other clans had sent a number of high-status individuals to poach desirable mates back to their clan, it was unlikely the young woman would have much say in the matter. |

Chiruha smiled sheepishly, "I am in some...although I've found myself so ingrained in some clubs and committees that I'll be functioning in a judging capacity than as there as a participant." |

"One of the many judges of the event, just the robotics rally actually," she smiled bashfully as she scratched her head. "I'm afraid otherwise, most of my time is taking part in the Bring-Fan-Con-to-Asakaze committee...which is now going to be here, so the work is making sure that we get another one in the future! I don't know if the next few days will give me much of a chance...I do some so, especially if I can meet more of the samurai here. I'm lucky some have approached me at least!" "If you meet anyone interested in speaking to me, just let him know that I can be reached easily. Unlike my father, I'm not exactly defended by a retinue of administrators and aides." |

Chiruha chuckled at the enthusiasm with a nod of her head. "Yes, it will be here in seven days. I didn't think of raising awareness until I was done with the Robotics Rally...but it would be best for people to prepare and yes, there will be a cosplay portion at Fan-Con. However, this one will be a touch different than other ones since I'm managing it with the joint committee." |

Chiruha couldn't help but giggle at that. "I feel that there were many things that could have happened with you as a bush. If they let you be, I think you can call it even in that case. If they started to gnaw at you for nutrients, I think being too close to the real thing is not what you want to aim for." |

"That's going to be a really interesting outfit...I think you'll need as much work on the outfit as you will on the stilts, as well as the practice required for it! Maybe you could consider some of the kids over at the Robotics Club to help? Not anything to do with robotics itself...but they can be handy in making some things for you with the tools we have at the shed," she offered as a suggestion. |

"The official hours of the club are some time from early afternoon to sundown, so I'm sure you'll find someone there to help you with your project. Maybe you could bribe them with some renga," she smirked. "Otherwise, you could ask chief Kishi-sama whenever he's around. He can't take a break, even in his free time, maybe he'll even do your request in between one of his classes." She clapped her hands together, "My apologies, everyone. I do have to head out soon to speak to my father before the otori corraling event...is there anything else you wish to cover, Mal-Chin-san?" |
