The Dawn's Light castle stands on top a rocky outcrop, south of the city proper. White, weathered concrete covers the sides of the fort, causing it to gleam dimly in the bright sunlight. A massive array of communication dishes and antenna jut from the castle's roof, allowing the governor to keep in touch with his vassals and with the clan leadership for across the void. Inside, the castle is rather utilitarian in both size and design, having been served as home to the first settlers before being repurposed as a 'castle'.
The court proper is a humble room with space for a fifty or so samurai. The governor's seat is an old orange pillow sitting a top of purpose built rough steel dais. The visitors are be seated on smaller, yet equally old pillows on the floor. The walls of the room have been recently painted pale orange, the narrow cracks on the wall betraying the age of the building. Two banners hang behind the governor's seat, the banner of the Phoenix as well as the lord governor's personal emblem showing a yarrow plant in a circle of stars.
