It was a bit surprising to be asked... Koseki had always thought the other clans were entirely disinterested in that aspect of the Firefly's duty.
"Oh. Well. Rather a lot Moto-san. It's dangerous work so a lot of calculations, safety protocols, and preparation. Security checks to make sure there aren't any armed surprises. Delicate piloting. Controlled explosions and/or operation of specialist equipment. Sometimes lab work to check mineral content." He gave the man a grin.
"I mean, I could get technical, but at it's core... Mining is a whole bunch of planning, skill, and coordination. Oh, and hard work."
