By this point the Firefly was a familiar figure in the great Temple-Library. His favourite desk was a source of much amusement once the staff had learned what he was up to. His work was excellent, but those illustrations were hilarious. An engineer's shorthand for biology... Today's subject, and the last in his series, was all about the Xenofungi forest. His stick samurai were equipped with gas masks and an ATV. The towering fungi occasionally dumped spores on unprepared stick men who failed to note the disappearance of local wildlife. He was particularly pleased with the measurements and calculations of how much damage one of those stalks could do if it fell on you. The section on the biathlon patrols was lovingly rendered with a few miai guests falling out of the canopy and being stretchered off. |
