Bayushi Akagi haunted the stacks of the library, looking for a suitable introductory reference on the Xenofungi Forest. His visit to the fungus forest and interactions with the animals dwelling within had been fascinating, and the Scorpion was determined to learn more about the region in preparation for future trips into the wilderness.

Akagi had a moment of reflection when he realized he was hoping to learn about trees, by looking at ink characters printed on dead trees. In a more rational world, shouldn't he learn about trees from living trees? It struck him as terribly ironic.
