Snow Maiden is the finest hotel in Kyuden Yoake, housing no fewer than 88 fine rooms. The whole building has been designed with spiritual harmony in mind, with the air conditioning and plumbing following the general principles of Feng Shui. This also means that each stairwell has an auspicious number of steps and and perfectly straight angles are rare. The walls have been painted with muted oranges to allow 'peace of mind' while the floors are covered with artificial 'wood' molded in mandala-like patterns. The lamps and electric lanterns have been placed similarly, meaning that the hotel has several uncomfortably dark staircases and corners, the staff eager to explain that this has been done to ensure the spiritual well being of the guests.

The air-conditioned rooms, while not particularly large, are quite comfortable, easily housing two samurai. Each room has a large and almost too soft bed, an uncomfortable pillow for mediation, a desk with intranet access and a luxurious shower. Unfortunately for the visitors, the modern faucets have a low water pressure as the water is rationed in the city with no good access to clean water. The hotel has a meager room service, with the servant bringing tea and snacks to each room once a day. Locally grown, the tea is far from good with Crane and Crab samurai likely hoping that they would have brought their own teas. The intranet access point comes with large selection of prerecorded sermons, allowing the visitors to listen to the soothing droning of the local monks and shugenja whenever they want to.

Location rules: When setting up threads in this location, please note where you are, e.g.[Lounge] or [Taku's room]

Characters with 12 XP or more (before discounts) spent on Status Advantage are housed in the hotel. Characters not meeting this criteria may also book a suite for themselves by paying 12 koku if they so chose to do so. All other characters will be housed in the Wisteria Inn. Characters are now allowed to share costs and book a room together as they are expected to portray some decorum.

Tea ceremony: Characters staying in Snow Maiden may request the staff for Tea Ceremony supplies. In game terms any character may perform Tea Ceremony in the common room as defined by the 4th edition core book.
