While Shizuku studies the deck, Akihiko plugs in this densai. Leaving it on the table, he shifts his seat so he's more faced toward the Crane, and his foot accidentally bumps hers as he's moving. "Oop. Sorry," he's quick to say, settling where they're not in contact, but a but closer then propriety might like.

She turned toward him once she was finished studying folding one leg up under her with a bright smile. "No problem, Akodo-sama," she assured, smile bright as a sun lamp. "You ready?"

"Ready," the Akodo says confidently.

Akihiko plays a steady but unremarkable game of Fantasy Fight, trying to be at least a little impressive.

She certainly got a handle on the game quickly, pulling out a win on their first challenge. She looked embarrassed and laughed awkwardly. "Beginner's luck it with me, I guess."

"Beginner's luck, huh?" Akihiko says with a smirk. "I think that was less luck and more someone being a very smart student of games. I need to make sure I don't underestimate you," he says, leaning his head toward her a little.

"Well, I did just start at this game," she laughed. She broke into a grin as she added, "That's right, though. Better not let down your guard when it comes to games and computers." She met his eyes, hers filled with cheerful determination.

He takes a deep breath, maybe for show but maybe not. "Alright, guard firmly in place," he smiles brighter than usual in response to her positive energy. "Shall we give that another try, to help gauge how lucky of a beginner you are?"

She raised a fist. "Definitely!" Then hunkered down behind her densai, folding her other leg under her as she started to play. She gives a pretty consistent showing.

Akihiko is quick to try another game, but it turns out Shizuku beats him more convincingly this time.

"Oof," Akihiko says with mock distress. "I played better with my guard down," he declares. But then a wide smile. "When Daidoji-san does well add the tournament, I shall boast that I was her practice partner."

She laughed at that. "Well, we'll see if I can hold onto those kinds of results, but I'll also have to brag that you taught me, you know."
