Jin furrowed his broughs in confusion. "Gomen, but I was asking Murame-san to spar, if it is no offense to you."

He didn't hold a stance just yet. "I have not met many other Scorpion here yet. Did many of your clan join?"

Jin nodded gratefully, before holding a two handed stance.

For the briefest of moments he observed Shoan before jumping in with the speed of a thunderning wabbit, aiming to strike low at her legs.

The shoulder connected, but Jin wasn't completely unfamiliar with combat like that and recovered his momentum with a quick spin. He settled down, then immediately sprang again, this time his bokken's tip rising from the ground upwards towards his opponent.

Shoan grits her teeth as the Hare recovers, slowly giving ground to leave her enough time to block Jin's attack before countering with a series of powerful slashes close to her body to try and get some space.

Jin was driven back by the powerful blows. While he managed to block and dodge, he had to back away from the attack. He took a moment to rest and reset his stance, and smiled at Shoan, giving a bow of respect.

Jin tensed for a second, then ran. His bokken suddenly raised high for an overhead sl/smash to his opponent.

Shoan launches herself less than half a second later, her bokken stabbing forward, it's tip aiming for Jin's sternum.

Jin grunted as the bokken struck, his own sl/mash aiming for Shoan's shoulder. After the strike, he stepped back, a smile on his face. "Well fought Murame-san."

Tenma nods before flipping onto her feet, grabbing a practice sword of her own, the lightest one she can find.

"I suppose I have already decided to change my workout for the day it seems, so I do not see why not."

Testing to make sure the weapon was to her liking (not that it truly was), she walked over and took up a stance with one arm forward holding the light bokken with the one hand.

"If you can defeat me while holding a conversation with Ujina-sama then I fear you will have bragging rights for the entirety of the miai."

"Fair enough, I misunderstood. I'll try to not distract you two then." Another small bow and Tenma moved a bit away, starting with stretches before her routine, toes on one foot pointing to the sky as she stretched one leg at a time.

She takes a single quick step forward, her blade going low to meet the strike as the Lion tries to strike Jin with her shoulder and knock the Hare down.

Stretched out, Tenma starts her jiujutsu exercises with a series of flips, cartwheels, and spinning kicks. She was very tempted to watch the bout between the two bushi, but she felt it might be beneath her as a proud Scorpion yoriki.

The Lion sends a puff of her up her face to remove some hair from her eyes, as she nods back, the Matsu nearly rising up and down on her toes as her adrenaline started pumping.

Tenma ended up stopping in the middle of a hand stand, looking at the two; They weren't half bad, she had to admit. She really appreciated the somewhat lost art of close quarters combat, so it WAS up her alley, technically. Even if it was beneath her. Yes yes; Just a small watch, to test her ability to hold the stand.

THUNK Shoan's shoulder protests as she steps back, taking a few moments to drive down her adrenaline "Likewise Ujina-sama, you are quick and skilled. It is always good to have one's expectations confirmed." Looking around she spots Tenma holding her hand stand and nods at the Scorpion politely, as though nobody was inverted and everything was normal.

Shoan watches on with polite interest, after all, there was always the chance she'd be called upon to fight samurai using the schools on display in the future.

Without even saying anything Tenma struck, a quick flicking strike like a fencer, aiming for one of the Ujina's shoulders. "Now perhaps? Or was that too soon?" The strike was there and back whether or not it hit, Tenma light on her feet like a dance as much as a spar.
