"That would explain your climbing ability." Hayato replied watching the Hare fire and giving him an approving nod. At the very least the man's form was good.

"Can't say I really do much in the way of kenjutsu, a little jiujitsu but mostly I concentrate on ranged weapons." Maybe he should change that in the future though.

Jin nodded. "Some jiujitsu for me as well. Not much, just the basics." He shrugged, and pulled the weapon back for now, observing. "I've fought in fields, and urban warfare in some cases. Have to be ready for close quarters combat, flanking preferably...or wherever they drop us."

He shrugged. "A Drop Trooper should be ready for anything."

"That does make sense." I mean you could just be dropped in the middle of the enemy or somethign on accident. "I supoose that has given you a wide range of skills over the years then?"

"Other then just general athletics and weapon skills that is. Maybe demolitions or something like that?" It seemed like that type of thing might be usful for the Hare.

Jin nodded. "Yeah. there are some hairy situations one can find themselves in." He didn't even notice the pun. "Eh, some tactical and leadership skills more like. Basic scouting as well. I'm not that specialized, usually just asked to fill in some general roles, or keep my unit together, after my promotion. That was fairly recent."

"Mmm... Well, belated congratulations on your promotion, Ujina-san." Came the congratulations from the Mantis. "Those skills you mentioned are good ones to have, and im sure influenced your Lord's decision."

"Arigatou Tsuruchi-san." He smirked. "Want to get some drinks sometime to celebrate it? Haven't really had the time back home." An idea started to form in his mind. "Hai, I hope so. We always trz to better ourselves, do we not?" He glanced sideways. "Any interests or hobbies besides marksmanship?"

"Sure!" Drinks were a hard thing to pass up after all. "Found a sake house last night that might be just the place for it."

"Interests though? " He paused a moment. "I suppose the same as a few others. I dance a bit, play video games, go hiking and swimming. Do a bit of Origami too, mostly when im bored though."

Jin nodded. "Sounds good. I'll trust you on this one."

He listened while he took out a small maintenance kit. "Hm, nice. Origami?" He smiled. "My sister does that sometimes. It can be neat. Do you play Fantasy Fight?"

"Yeah, my sisters always liked it when I folded butterflies for them, so It's been something I've playe da bit with for a while." Hayato replied with a wry smile.

"as for Fantasy flight? Some, I elearned it on the way over, but I can't say I'm very good at it."

"Ah, how nice of you! I'm the youngest, and my sister sometimes gave me origami rabbits. My brother and I played baseball sometimes." He recalled the fond memories. "Do you have any other siblings?"

His cleaning was slow, but thorough. "Nice, nice. I play in the local tournament in te brigade, but it's nothing serious. And I'm nothing amazing."

"Just the two little sisters." No brothers unfortuently. "They were a bit of a handful when I was younger, but both of em are adults now, and have mostly given up on begging their older brother for butterflies."

Removing his own side arm from it's hoolsters, he moved to give it a good cleanign as well, might as well right? "Oh, Maybe we can play a few games over those drinks then. Honestly I think you're the first samurai I've encountered here with any interest in it."

"I know of at least one more person who plays. Have you met Kitsuki Izumi-sama? Small? Excitable? Speaks so fast your head huts?" He smirked at the thought.

"Nice, little sisters? Are they also marksman?" He asked in interest, observing the weapon. "My sister is in the Witchfinders, while my brother is back home, being an officer in the local garrison." He shrugged. "We each have our own places here."

"No, and I he doesn't sound like the type of person you would forget." Though he may have seen him around the miai a time or two.

"My sisters? No, their talents lie in other directions." A direction more in line with his father's wishes. "That's the way of siblings though, each of us have our own talents and places much like you said." He smirked. "I'd show you a picture but I think you have enough ladies to worry about."

Jin let out a laugh at the last sentence. "Ah, yes, quite right. Unfortunately I'll have to pass for now. They sound lovely though. Speaking of ladies, and spouses I guess, met anyone you're interested in? It's such a big group, it feels weird sometimes." He smiled, though seemed to fall in a melancholy. "Not exactly how I pictured I'd find my future spouse."

"Likely wise, it's quite possible they would break your heart." Hayato replied laughter evident behind his eyes.

The shift in topic's brought a wry wmile to his lips. "I'd have to to say so far I've met a few that I'd like to spend sometime getting to know better. Even managed to set up a few dates." As for the miar itself, he smirked and shook his head. "I honestly expected to get a mail one day with a photo of my future spouse in it, so it's a nice to surprise to be able to even have a little say in it."

Jin laughed as well. "Ah, I see. Dangerous samurai-ko it seem." He recalled his own sister, who was probably off somewhere hunting for maho-tsukai or something. She never spoke much of her missions, though there were always rumors.

"Ah? That's good. I have a few dates too, will see if they work out." He smirked. "Yeah, I was expecting my mother to tell me who's going to be my wife, and that's it. This is...strange. A bit unusual for me, I never thought I'd have this much say in it."

"In their own way." They had their own fields of battle after all.

"A few dates? Sounds promising." He smiled slightly as he continued cleaning his side arm. "Think you'll take any of them out to a fancy dinner?"

"I don't know. A dinner feels...too forward maybe? I don't know. We talked some, but I wouldn't say I'm that familiar with any of them. What about you? Taking anyone to a nice dinner?" A dinner can be good, but..only if it works out well.

"Lunch." He admitted with a chuckle. "Dinner is a few down the line?" If it got to the point. "Certainly not onto a romantic dinner or anything yet."

"Ah, good idea. Yeah, dinner is a different thing." He checked his gun. "I was planning to have a nice walk in the garden today, but I think I might need to move my meeting somewhere else. The club maybe."
