A charge was typically one of the easier maneuvers to dodge, but Tenma wasn't taking this for granted; She knew little about Ujina techniques so decided to meet it rather then dodge aside like one might with a bull. So instead she dropped, bokken held up as she swept into the charge with a strong bare leg. |

It hits her own bokken and Tenma staggers a bit, landing on her tush briefly with a soft squeak before suddenly jumping to her feet and taking a step forwards, attempting to get inside striking range. |

Taking the wrist in a surprisingly strong grip, she pulled the arm behind the Ujina's back. Her body pinned it thereas her other hand pointed her bokken at him. "Reacting to being knocked down or disabled is actually one of the primary focuses of my Clan's magistrate traditions, as are submission holds, Ujina-san." |

Surprised by the sudden movement, Jin is caught off guard. "Oho?" He asked idly, before releasing his bokken and he suddenly moved his arm in an elbowing maneuver into her side. "I am familiar with the basics of jiujitsu myself." |

A slight surprise, Tenma kicking the dropped bokken away before having to let go and step back, rubbing her side, "So I see. Well, finding new things out is the best part of sparring anyways, neh?" She is in an attack stance as she speaks, keeping an eye on the Ujina boy for any sudden movements. |

Jin smiled. "Yes. Much better here, than the battlefield." He lowered his hands into an open stance, spreading fingers ready to grapple...and he stepped forward with his right leg, before kicking out with his left. |

Still having her "blade" in hand, Tenma ducked and struck at the leg that had been kicked with, hoping it would strike true. |

Jin let out a yell as his leg was deflected when struck, but he managed to turn the deflection into a roundhouse kick, his leg hitting close but not quite enough for the Scorpion. |

Tenma was hit by the roundhouse and pushed to her left, turning it into a roil before hopping onto her feet again. She was in an attack stance until... she wasn't. The Scorpion girl bowed, "A well struck kick. Your fighting style is very adaptable, Ujina-san." |

Jin smiled. "As it must be. We prefer grappling or kicking in our fighting style." He flexed his legs, then relaxed them. "Agree on a draw Bayushi-san?" He flashed a smile...charming, he thought. Possibly obnoxious according to some. "Don't want to show all my tricks on day one, after all." |

"Agreed. And I came here to exercise, not spar per say. I might have taken more time to prepare differently had I been looking for that." She looked down at the bokken in her hand with a slightly disdainful look, "...both the dojo and it's equipment seems to be somewhat subpar, for my tastes." |

Jin shrugged, a bit taken aback. "Gomen for disrupting you then Bayushi-san?" He was unsure how to react, than put the bokken back. "Eh, it's fine. Some of the equipment was better in my dojo, but not all. Besides, the samurai makes the equipment work, not the other way around, my sensei used to tell me." |
