“Hai, I’m looking forward to it. More than some of the other things they have coming up,” Moriko admitted, getting to her feet and gathering her trash.

Hoshiko cleaned the rest of the table off, glancing down at the Ren and Ten.

"No more treats. And, dogs can't participate in orbital defense, even such good ones."

“Oh, I don’t know, Ten-kun must be at least as good as I am at reading a radar.” Moriko dumped her trash and put her tray on the return before leaning over and addressing Ten, “we don’t know how to make sense of those things, do we?” she cupped his face in her hands, “oh, no we don’t.”

"What about you?" she looked down at Ren. "Are you hiding a secret expertise with orbital weaponry systems?"

The dog looked away, as if hiding something, causing Hoshi to laugh. Kneeling beside him, she gave him a thorough petting and received several licks in response.

Straightening, Moriko brushed a strand of hair off her forehead, "I think he's been holding back on you, Hoshi-chan." She giggled, "ready to go?"

"Hai." she nodded. "Let's go."
