It had been a long miai. And while Yul was pretty confident in how it was going to end up, he still found himself with a lot of extra energy. And he knew just how to get it out.

Oshidama.

Dressed in a tank top and his swimming trunks, as was appropriate for a game of Oshidama, Yul spun the ball on his finger, getting a feel for it. The Sports Centre was a fairly nice one, net all set up and ready to go.

Grinning, Yul bounced the ball on the ground a few times. It made a nice solid sound, bouncing back up easily. Good. He nodded across the net to Koseki. "You ready?" He called, still grinning.

"Always my friend, let's do this!"

Koseki was wearing his sports kit, which was quite form fitting. The thing about being in zero or low-R so much was that you really didn't want baggy clothes. They caught on everything. So his shorts and vest in Firefly approved colours was quite flattering.

"Couple of warm up rounds?"

Yul smirked. "Sounds good to me."

"So," Yul began, even as he stepped into position. "How's the big day for you?" He tossed the ball into the air, and then smacked it with a grunt. It was a gentle hit, but on-target, flying over the net to where Koseki could get it.

Hide had come for a workout to ease her nerves about the whole selection process. In her own tank top and athletic pants, she made her way around the gym figuring out a good way to let out some of her nervous energy. And that’s when she spotted them: Koseki and Yul setting up oshidama.

“Yoooooo, Yul-san, Koseki-san!” Hide waved from over by the entrance to the court. “Ready for the big day?”

Koseki smacked the ball high up into the air over Yul's side of the court. "Pretty great so far! Took Blinky for a run with my MCA buddies. Hey, Hide-san!"

He moved into the middle of the court to get ready for the return ball. "Im looking forward to seeing the picks."

Having heard there was finally going to be oshidama, Hyeon-ju showed up for the game, dressed in her sporty-looking swimwear.

Grunting, Yul lazily hit the ball back. He was taking it easy so far, sending it in a nice arc towards Koseki.

Yul waved. "Hey, Hide-san, Hyeon-ju-san! Come join us!" He grinned at them. "Can't really do Oshidama just one per side, anyway."

"It makes for very bad play, that's true," she nodded in agreement, pushing her hair back to pull it into a bun. Oshidama was serious business and required serious hair.

“Ah, alright. Sounds good to me.” Hide approached their group fully, giving a bow to the Utaku that she was less familiar with. “Good question, Utaku-san. I’m fine being partnered with anyone.”

Koseki pushed it up for one of the ladies to take a swing at. "Hey, good to see you Utaku-san. Hide-san, hows about you and me take on these hotshots?" He flashed a warm smile at the Unicorn.

Hide and Koseki were greeted in turn with a bow and a small smile.

Hyeon-ju put her hands together and cracked her knuckles. "Wouldn't be the first time, Cricket. You guys ready to take on two Sky Riders?"

Hide was quite fine being partners with Broseki. They had been through a lot together this miai, so it was only natural to be his oshidama partner. “You’re on, Utaku-sama. I hope you guys are ready to see the famous Matsu Spike!”

Yul caught the ball the next time it came to him.

"Okay." He said. "Let's go ahead and start off again. Wasp and me taking on the two of you." He hesitated a moment. "Oh, and obviously we're not doing Dodge Oshidama." Yul didn't fancy breaking his nose on his engagement day.

Smirking, Yul nodded. "Okay. Here we go!" Once more, he tossed the ball into the air. This time, he smacked it more solidly than before, sending it to the other side with a moderate amount of force.

Regular Oshidama it was! Koseki offered Hide a bro fist. "Aw yeah! Let's show these Skyriders the power of friendship." He gave them all a grin.

When Yul served he ran over and knocked the ball up into the air for Hide. "Yours!"

“Yeah, let’s show ‘em what we’re made of!” Hide returned the bro fist, before getting into position.

Which was definitely outside hitter. Hide jumped up at the ball, much higher than one would expect. She then spiked the ball, as a Matsu should. Always spike the ball.

Quick to take point defense, Hyeon-ju dove in to counter the spike, saving the ball just in time to bounce it to Yul. There was no need for her to tell Yul she was on it.

If nothing else, Yul had quick reflexes. His eyes widened, but he managed to pop the ball more or less straight up, grunting as he did so. He stepped back out of the way, giving Hyeon-ju plenty of space.

Walking in Ichika wore her kimono she'd come to Asakaze in, a nice color blue with floral print. Not dressed for playing Oshidama but more than ready to watch some Oshidama. Not wanting to interrupt she only gave a small wave to the group, with a smile of course, as they started playing as she passed by and found a nice spot to sit just off the side of the court they were using and leaned back to relax into it.

After the first night, the movie night, when the idea of it was brought up a part of her always wanted to get to watch them play. That she'd get her chance before this was all officially over brought her heart warmth enough to brighten her smile she held passively.

As the ball had gone straight up, Hyeon-ju was quick back up to follow up with giving it a solid spike over to the other side of the net... it wasn't as hard or powerful as Hide's MATSU SPIKE, but it was a quick ball. As expected of the Children of the Wind.
