The day was hot, oppresive even, and the late day sun didn't make it any better, in fact it might of even gotten worse since the morning ride at the ranch. If this was a Mantis city there would likely be a beach or something nearby to help with the oppresive heat. Sadly though all the Phoenix had was a small pool. Not that Hayato wasn't going to take advantage of it. Which is why the evening found Hayato floating in the pool, his simple grey swim trunks the only thing he was wearing. It might be a strange sight to sum a man merely floating in the water not swimming, but at least it was cool, and didn't take too much energy. |

"CANNONBALL!!!" 190 lbs of Moto hit the water in the deep end with an enormous splash. There was a brief pause as he came back to the surface "haHA! Excellent! Oh, this is nice!" Having had his fun, he paddles to the edge of the pool and begins to soak. "Hey, buddy-san! Nice day for it, huh?" |

Upon seeing his one of his roommates, Kamui swims on to Hayato. He's wearing blue surf shorts with white accents and the Crane crest on the left front leg. He dives under the water when he hears the loud 'Cannonball' someone yelled out. He pops his head up after the splash subsides. "Hello, Hayato-san." Kamui looks to the man coming up. "Oh, hello, I'm Kamui, and one of Hayato-san's roommates." |

With the large splash the Tsuruchi ship Hayato sunk beneath the waves. He emerged a few moments later though he wasn't spluttering. Perhaps revealing the fact that the Mantis had sunk beneath the waves and come back up ready for battle. Or to greet the other two men in the pool with him. "Evening." Hayato offered warmly to the two as he glanced between the pair. |

"Yes, I am. Although I was not aware of this until very recently of this fact." Kamui looks up in the air. "Like, got the orders and shipped out to come here. So, I'm been a bit frantic the last few days." He looks back at the two. "I'm guessing you are too, Moto-san?" |

Ganbold nodded in return. "Pleased to meet you, Tsuruchi-san, Kamui-san! I surely am here for the miai as well! Oka-san pulled rank and I got shipped out. It was my turn, you see. My older brothers are all hitched, and there's three more in the chain after me. So...met any nice people?" |

"Ah, yes. Mine were army orders, but I wouldn't put it past my folks being the ones that initiated it." Kamui frowns a minuter, then lets it out. "Nothing I can do now, not that I would now." |

"Nice people I've met a few." Hayato replied, pushing away from the pair in the water before coming back a moment later. "Moto-san is right though, best to make the most of it. Even if you don't marry the apple of your eye. There are friends to me made, as well as other opportunities." |

It was interesting to hear the Crane wasn't considering men, though it made sense after a fashion. Still it crossed a name off of Hayato's list. "Ishmael? Is that the name of the bird you rode this morning, Moto-san?" |
