Hide had been down one of her shirts since the day before yesterday. But today was stipend day, so she could afford to replace it. She had already grabbed what she needed, a plain black-but-skin tight shirt of sturdy material. But the allure of having an extra outfit or two for maybe a date would be nice.

But she was already starting to feel overwhelmed by all the options.

"Matsu-san!" Ichika called out, walking up toward Hide with a smile. Coming from outside the store in the walk. "How're you doing this evening?" she asked, her head tilted a little to emphasize the question. However, she quickly remembered how little they knew one another and bowed. Rising from it she replaced her smile.

Ichika was wearing a pale yellow sundress. A dress with a bodice that hugged her form a little, but had a skirt that went conservatively down to just above her ankles. Though she might have been seen in this attire with a hat to match, she didn't have it with her by the evening and instead had her usual floral style hair ornaments.

Hide looked over to the Doji, in her hands a shirt she had picked up to take a good look at. She certainly seemed to like button downs, as she was wearing a black one and in her hands was one in beige. “Oh, Doji-san. You look quite nice this evening.”

"Thank you!" she said, a bright smile as she dipped her head toward Hide. "How have you been, Matsu-san? I hope your days have been treating you well?"

“Oh! I’ve been good. Accidentally ripped a shirt beyond repair, so just picking out a replacement.” She lifted up the black shirt she had already picked up. “Got a little distracted, though. Think I should pick out a nice outfit while I’m here?”

"There's a small kimono section in the back!" she said, with a happy little cheer. "Orrr, hmmm," she said, furrowing her brow as she observed Hide for a moment. Bringing up a hand she curled the hand around her chin and thought.

"What was Matsu-san thinking of? I've seen a few really nice things in here while I've been around, maybe I can help?" she said with a bright smile.

“Just something nice to look at for a date. But nothing too fancy. Not looking to overdress myself for the location, y’know?” Hide glanced over towards the kimono section. Definitely would be overdressing. “Hmmm... No-go on the kimono.”

"Awww," she gave a little pout, but shook her head and turned it to a smile. "That's alright. Okay! So, what was Matsu-san thinking then?"

“Uhhhh... A nicer shirt?” Hide actually had no idea what she was doing, as she looked between the beige button down shirt to her own black one.

Ichika giggled into the back of her hand, "Okay! A nicer shirt then. Maybe a nice jacket too, something.." she furrowed her brow, brought a hand up to her chin. "Sleeker?"

“Sleeker?” Hide looked down at herself and then to the shirt in her hand. “What do you mean by sleeker? Jacket-wise, I mean.”

"Well, sleeker than others," she held up a hand and went searching in the store. Walking a bit of the way from Hide as she searched through the formal bit of the mens section.

Hide followed Ichika, very curious as to what she would find. Crane were usually good at this kind of thing, or so Hide was made to believe. "You seem to know exactly where you're going. Been here before?"

"So many times," she stopped abruptly as she was walking, looking back around the corner she just previously turned. Through the racks of clothing she continued through again.

Finding a rack of suit jackets she started sifting through them on a rack that had a nice smooth material to it.

"Regular black might be nice," she said, looking up from a sleeve she held and felt with a thumb. "Maybe you might like another color though?"

“Black is a nice neutral color. Maybe a charcoal grey could work as well.” Hide reached over to inspect the material of the jacket in question. Definitely something she’d have to be careful with if she wore it.

Looking to Hide Ichika appraised her. How a suit like this might fit her torso nicely, with a few nods she smiled, "Charcoal grey, yea," she nodded again. "What do you think Matsu-san? I like the idea of it on you," she said with a short restrained chuckle.

“I mean, I like it.” Hide nodded, approving the choices that Ichika had made. “Plus, always gotta trust a Crane on these things. You have some kinda sixth sense when it comes to this.”

"Just an abundance of experience," she said, a soft giggle placed onto the back of her hand. Watching Hide for a moment she smiled, parted her lips, raised her brow and then, "How have you been finding the others here for the Miai, Matsu-san?" she asked, tilting her head a little to the right.

“Oh! I’ve met a lot of them. Nice folks. Had some parties and the like.” Hide turned her attention from the suit to the Doji and couldn’t help but smile softly. She was one of the only people shorter than her here that she has personally met. “The Unicorn are a fun lot, not gonna lie. And as shocking as it might be to onlookers, most of the people I can consider close friends of mine now are Minor Clanners.”

"Oh!" she said, happily. Bringing her hands together so that they were raised but flat against one another, leaning forward a little in a small dip. "That's wonderful Matsu-san," she said, a small little motion with her hands before she let them back down.

"I've met a lot of the Unicorn myself, one of them is even a roommate! Utaku Hyeon-ju-san. Though Shinjo Yul-san is probably the one I'm the closest with and I even met Moto Ruhe-san once!" she smiled at the thought.
