"Which is always a bonus." Firefighting skills were a good thing to have. Though Nozomi did seem more the type to run around in a panic then actually employ them.

“... of course they’d need to be water resistant... and hurricane resistant... probably dirt resistant too. Our home could end up being very resistant.”

"Made out of the strongest most resistant materials in the galaxy huh?" Hayato replied with a chuckle. "Sounds like you're building a fortress."

“Well obviously Kitsu-san would have to be kept safe, so we’d need the basics. Blast proof windows, security door, panic room, weapons room. Maybe one or two weaponised drone...”

"That sounds nice...." He offered after a moment. "Very secure." That was followed by a nod. "Though is that the kind of place Kitsu-san is going to like to live?"

“Hmm?”
Shoan pauses, she’s been considering the safest brand of land mines for a child.
“Well, who wouldn’t want to live somewhere safe? Especially if they have a child?”

"Certianly safe is quite inportant, especially with a child." He'd arggue that himself as well. "But shouldn't in be cozy as well, a place full of warmth and care and not just some steel room with attack drones?" Not that there was anythign wrong with attack drones.

“Well...I suppose” grudgingly “there might be a comfortable middle ground where the family is still safe but are also able to enjoy themselves...”

“What was your childhood home like?”

He glanced at Shoan for a moment, wondering if she really wanted to hear about it. "It was a lot of things, though I suspect Large would be the best way to describe it... Want me to go into details?"

A slight squint

“....how many pools?”

"One indoor that was heated." He replied looking off to the side. "And one outdoor for when the weather was nice."

"Father said any more then that would be excessive."

“Of course, two pools seems a sensible limit.”
Shoan’s eyes twinkle
“We has a community swimming pool a short drive away, it was very pleasant when the water was nice.”

"Right, mom wanted to put one on the roof or something for the view at night. Dad didn't think it was practical though."

He looked at Shoan a slight smile on his lips as he saw her eyes. "Seems like you had a good time at the pool of yours though. Alot of fine memories?"

“I was very young, but I always enjoyed the water. Lion have big families and the pool was always packed. We’d play lord of the castle and see who could make the biggest splash. It was nice and simple.”

"I suspect you were truly an artist if big splashes." Hayato asked his eyebrow raised curiously.

"Still that sounds nice, warm almost if that makes any sense. You must have had a lot of fun back then."

"We did....the Lion aren't all honour and grim warfare 24/7, we have fun too. At least before....."
Shoan's On quietly resettles until her face is completely impassive

"The fun always ends eventually."

Hayato wasn't going to pry into what was before, if she wanted him to know she'd tell him.

"I think the fun ends eventually for all of us." He offered simply instead.

"Mmmmhmm."
Shoan nods slowly, somewhere else for a few moments
"I'd really liked that pool too."
After a while she shakes her head, looking over at Hayato with a smirk
"It's easier to get attached when you have to share just the one."

"Is that how it goes?" Sharing hasn't been a big need when he was young. Thought he had experienced a lot more of it at home and in the military.

"I've never really thought of that. It seemed maybe I missed out on something."

"The less you have of something, the more precious it is....generally, Spider still don't value honour."

"It's really not fair if you also valued pools as highly as me while having two, that just means you win all round."
