Koryn makes sure there is a medicinal draught waiting for the Utaku when she awakens.

Hyeon-ju felt a little bit better when she woke up. Though the medicine didn't taste particularly good, it did help fight down the nausea and she didn't feel like she had a fever after she had done her shower and skincare routines. She made a note to herself to do something nice for Koryn in return for his help.

Dressing for the morning was an easy affair today, with fatigues and a tank-top, as it was supposed to be a biathlon competition today. No need to dress up.

That didn't mean she would skip out on applying her warpaint though and like yesterday morning, she set up her station at the table they all shared in the room.

Ichika slept through the night, huddled up with a pillow. By morning she was up and at em. Taking to the day with a morning routine she'd found herself standing over by the stove. Searching through the allotted kitchen and putting together a small breakfast for everyone present. Humming happily as she did.

Ichika rocked back and forth on a foot while she waited for things to cook, still in her sleep wear. Glancing over her shoulder she caught Heyon-ju's eye for a moment and have a little wave, with a smile of course too.

Hyeon-ju gave a wave back, nodding. "Good morning... wow, you're actually cooking breakfast?" she seemed pretty amazed that the dingy stovetop was actually useful enough for such a feat.

On Ryuu's bunk, which was immaculately made, was a note

"I had to do a little..." She glanced at the stove, trying to figure the best word for it. "Uh.." she looked over a shoulder again, gave a wave as to dismiss the thought, "managing," she said with a half-chuckle.

"But there were some ingredients I was able to scrounge up and, well, figured I'd give it a shot, yea?"

"Huh?" she blinked a little. "... I'm not sure I follow, Doji-san."

Hyeon-ju took a moment to give a sniff of the air. "What you making?"

Koryn comes in from his morning bathe, he sniffs the air, "What is cooking?"

"Well there was this meat.. kinda like chicken, I think? Grilling that while I got that going," she indicates the water cooker, "and then I'll add those," she indicated a small bowl of veggies that she'd covered and set off to the side, "when this is ready for them," she indicated back to the cooking meat.

"I'm- it's not really big enough to have cooked too much for all of us, but if everyone's alright with the smaller portion I don't mind?" she said, the setup using up little space on the other end of the table from Hyeon-ju.

"Oh!" she said, remembering, "And what I meant was that I had to give everything a bit of a clean, do a little... work on it, but I got it working well enough. Sorta small.. not much, but well.. helps get the food heated and cooked and everything yea?"

Koryn smiles as he preps for the day, "Our fight academy did include basic cooking and repair classes, they implied other clans didn't put as much emphasis on it though"

"A light meal sounds perfect for today's activites for me... I don't want a full stomach for the biathlon," Hyeon-ju nodded approvingly of the offer of a small portioned breakfast.

"I... only know how to make most basic food. Mostly just heating up the water for the ration packs." Like most military, the Unicorn had ration packs that often just needed to add hot water for a meal. "Oh... and thank you, Kuni-san. I'm feeling better already today."

"Now," she said, with a little smile. Raising up her hands kind of like if she was surrending, "don't be getting excited or anything. I'm not really much of a cook, never really.. had to before, but!" she said, raising up a lone finger with pride. "I have enough of an idea it should at least be cooked well enough, no poisoned bellies," she said with a little laugh.

"I did stay up last night reading up on local poisonous fungi, so I know what to do about it if you mess up at least!"

Hyeon-ju tried not to grimace at the mention of food poisoning, but wasn't fully successfully.

"I am... certain it will be fine. And I've learned to be more mindful of the local flora here now."

"Ooooo, right," she said, glancing at the food and turning off the stove. "I heard that some people got poisoned the other day at the Ikebana thing, you did too Utaku-san?" she said, raised a brow then glanced to Koryn. "And you helped her? Maybe.." she said, having started the process of serving tapped the held end of a fork against her chin. "Maybe you can speak with Ikoma Shoan-san? She didn't seem to be feeling well last night," she glanced down, but focused on the serving food bit for a spell.

"I would be glad too, do you know where i can find her?"

"She has a room here at the inn, I know... I don't know which number though. I could send a message perhaps?" she asked. Koryn seemed like the type that wouldn't mind running off to help someone.

Ichika, meanwhile, taking a break from serving had already whisked her communicator into hand and typed away a quick message. With a satisfied sigh she set it down on the table.

Glancing up, "O-oh, Utaku-san, sorry. Got carried away," she said with a sheepish chuckle. "U-uhm, if it's any consolation," she said with a sheepish smile, pulling up one of the plates and offering it over, "I got your breakfast ready?" she said with another half-awkward chuckle.

"Ah... no, it's quite alright." She nodded and put away her things, preferring not to mix food and makeup.

"... I should return the favor, if you're serving me breakfast. Let me do your makeup afterwards." It was an offer made with a tone that indicated she was not intending to argue on the point of doing something for Ichika.

"Okay!" she said, happily. Seeing that transaction completed she started getting a plate ready for Koryn.

"I'll be happy to see what you have in mind, Utaku-san!" she smiled brightly.
