"It's not that you plan to." Hayato asserted as the game began the opening dialogue and its brief explanation on controls. "They just appear in odd places at odd times, and sometimes the bad guys use them as cover."

"I see." The Kitsu watched along with the instructions, noting that reloading was totally not like how one would do so with an actual weapon.

As she went with the game, she wasn't particularly adept at taking down the targets. It seemed like she was worried about shooting any of the innocent targets...

Luckily for her, the Mantis seemed rather adept at shooting his share of the bad guys as well as hers. So in time they made it all the way to level two, and another cut scene!

"So, what do you think of it?" Hayato asked as the overly dramatic scene played in front of them.

Nozomi looked at the cutscene with keen interest. Seemed like she had an interest for media. "So that Jigoku Jackal guy. He has a heavy rifle for an arm? Wouldn't that be hard to aim?"

"Maybe?" Hayato offered as he looked at thecut scene unfold.

"Maybe they were thinking it was as easy as point and shoot?" That was his only real explanation. "I suppose we'd have to find someone with a heavy rifle for an arm if we want to find out."

"I suppose game programmers are not often the same as foot soldiers," Nozomi mused. She held out her own arm and imagined shooting at an intense rate of fire from it, complete with whispered sound effects.

That brought a laugh from the Tsuruchi, and he shook his head. "Apologies."

"Noi I guess they aren't I mean it seems to me that the recoil would be hard to control and eventually destroy your shoulder or something. Meaning you would need even more flesh craft to function..."

"Maybe that's in the programmers plan though? I haven't played Time Magistrates 14 yet."

"You mean maybe he'll have an even weirder arm in the next one?" Nozomi asked. She looked at the screen in a bit of awe. "Interesting."

"I mean, that's how these thigns build up right?"

"After you beat him he comes back later with even more fleshcraft and a bigger gun." He nodded with a kind of certainty, maybe it really was how this worked.

Nozomi pushed up her glasses. "Does that mean he had a smaller gun before for an arm?"

"Or that he had a arm, and a big gun in it?" Hayato wasn't very versed in Time Magistrate Lore.

He smirked. "Though haingn a sidearm in place of a missing hand would be a little bit amusing."

"Maybe his arm could transform from an arm into a handgun?" Nozomi was pretty bad at the whole gun thing while talking. "A marksman rifle probably wouldn't work as an arm, right?"

"I wouldn't think so." It was far too long right? "It'd be even weirder then the heavy rifle arm."

"Maybe if he had super eyes to go with it? Or if, like, he held up the scope right next to his eyes?"

"I suppose super eyes could work." Hayato offered thoughtfully. "Not sure how a scope right near your eyes would work out though. I mean what if the targets were ose?"

Nozomi thought for a bit, completely not shooting at the screen for the time being. "Oh, I got it! What if he had a sidearm to use with his regular arm when people are too close?"

For the moment, Hayato was keeping up with the flood of enemies fairly well on his own, so the Kitsu lookign away wouldn't be a problem at least not immeadetly. "That could work!" He replied sending a glance in Izumi's direction.

"Especially if he had some sort of super eyes that could zoom in and out."

At the very least, it seemed like the Kitsu was making an effort again, albeit in a goofy fashion. She held up the fake gun just as she imagined it, with the other being in the form of a rifle.

"Hm. I guess the recoil wouldn't be the same."

"Hrm... Likely not." Hayato offered with a chuckle at the Kitsu's antics.

"I mean it would be a bit silly if it were."

The Kitsu, in term, gave an awkward chuckle to go along with her companion's. "I don't think someone would be able to handle a heavy rifle strapped to their arm either. Such are video games and movies, huh?"
