As always, Yul did his best to be true to his word. And so when Ichika-chan (as he privately thought of her) sent him a message, asking for him to come whisk her away again, well, he was there. A quick trip on his cycle to pick her up, a quick trip down the street, and they were there in front of one of the entrances to the xenobotanic garden once more.

Yul killed the cycle's engine, his foot knocking the kickstand into place. "Well, here we are." He said, flashing his passenger a cheerful smile. "Maybe we can try a different path this time, huh? In fact..." Yul frowned at the entrance, "-this might not be the way we came in this way. This place is huge."

After he killed the engine she let go, sitting back a little. Just enough to catch his smile as she glanced toward the garden. "It's a little hard to tell with the sun going down like it is," she said with a soft laugh. Shifting free from the cyle she took a step away. Wearing the pale yellow dress with a bodice that hugged her torso a little and a skirt that reached down just above her ankles. Having left the sunhat back in her room she just had her usual adornments, hair done up.

Turning back she smiled again, "Even if it's the same, a different path sounds good, Yul-san," she nodded.

"Alright." Yul said, smiling. He gave a jerk of his head. "C'mon." He lead the way up the stairs to the entrance.

This time, out in front, he took the lead in hopping up on the little barrier, arms out to keep his balance. "So..." Yul said, flashing her another smile, "how has your day been?"

Quickly taking off the helmet, she set it somewhere proper and then caught up a little. Walking along behind him this time next to the little ledge instead of atop it. "It's been good," she said, her response sheepish. Hiding that by exerting a little energy and popping up onto the barrier with him and walking behind, graceful steps made with an arm-span held low.

"I have a question though, Yul-san," she said, watching her foot work on the barrier.

"Yeah?" Yul cast her a quick smile, then shifted, as the motion of his head nearly caused him to overbalance. He corrected, and then smirked. "Sure. Anything, go ahead."

Reaching the end of the barrier, he hopped nimble to the ground, turning to face Ichika.

"Has Nakauchi-san told you about anything..." she twisted her bottom lip, glancing over toward the garden in front of them for the moment. A less than graceful step was taken. Looking back to what she was doing she made more sure steps toward him before stepping to the point she was right in front of him but standing on the barrier.

"Well.." she settled her arms as she finished walking, looking to him. "Strange?"

Yul couldn't help but laugh cheerfully at Ichika's antics, but then he frowned thoughtfully at her question.

"No... not really?" He tilted his head looking at her. "What do you mean?"

"Kuchiki Tsugiharu-san," she said, stepping forward and down off the barrier before him. Looking up to him now, instead of down at. "Yesterday he called me aside, and told me of something him and a few others, Nakauchi Mumei-san included, were investigating."

Ichika's brows raise a little with a thought, "Unless there's another Nakauchi here?" she shook her head.

"Oh." Yul frowned. "He's one of my roommates, but we haven't talked much."

Then he shrugged. "There's actually a lot of Osprey living here, so it's possible. But if everyone he's working with is here for the miai, I think she's the only one." He looked at her, eyebrows going up curiously. "But what was it?"

"Something about a remote shrine, with Ph-" she shook her head. "With people who are trying to re-open a spiritual portal? Apparently it could cause.." she shook her head. "Well, whatever might happen as a result isn't good. They didn't approach the magistrate yet because they doubted that they'd be listened to but, I'm not sure if I even have enough to convince anyone.. not yet.."

Yul frowned. "I'll ask her. Let her know that if something needs doing, she can count on me." Smiling ruefully, he spread his hands. "Of course, if there's no need for something to be flown or shot, I'm not sure how much I can help. Still..." Yul shrugged.

"I.. may need on of those, Yul-san," she paused, raised her brows. "I- I mean the flying one!" she stammered out and chuckled awkwardly.

Yul's eyebrows went up. "Well hey, sure, either way." Yul grinned. "Although for the shooting, I think I'd actually be expected to duel them. And I expect your Daidoji pilot can handle herself, there."

"So..." Yul looked at her, "-where do you need to be flown?"

"We'll talk more about that later," she said, stepping around and passed him toward the garden. Turning around with a smile as she walked backwards, "We came all the way out here, it'd be a shame not to go inside, hmm?" she laughed.

Yul grinned. "You're right! It really would be." He jogged to catch up with her.

...

Inside... it was difficult to tell if this was the same entrance, or a different one. Once more, mushroom stalks towered above them, rising into the darkness. Yul set a slow pace, walking beside Ichika. "So... how have you been otherwise?" He asked, giving her a gentle smile.

Glancing passed him toward one of the non-fungal stalks mixed into the backdrop. "I met Nakauchi Mumei-san again, if I didn't mention that!" she said, giving a little smile. "We went shopping yesterday in one of those pre-owned kinda stores. It was fun!"

"Oh yeah?" Yul looked casually away, smiling, his cheeks turning just the slightest bit red. "That sounds fun. What did the two of you get?"

The path wound about. Just as before, their way was lit both with electric light and bioluminescent bugs, humming softly amongst the stalks.

"We were shopping for her, really," she laughed, covering her mouth with her knuckles. "After your little misadventure.," she paused there, watching as a pair of the bugs danced around a while, she smiled.

Looking back to him, she thought for a moment. "You should ask her though, hmm?" she said with a smile that most certainly teased.

"Oh. Yeah." Yul smiled sheepishly. He looked at Ichika, eyebrows going up. "I should, huh? Maybe I will." His eyes glinted, cheeks reddening a little further.

He gave Ichika a sudden sharp look. "Ichika-san. Are you teasing me? Wow." Grinning, Yul shook his head. "I did not see that coming. Well, turnabout is fair play, I suppose."

Ichika giggled, bringing her hands together in cheerful delight. "Fair's fair," she said, leaning toward him a little. With a little glance down she stepped away with a graceful little half-twirl but she almost missed a step. Catching herself on the end of it a little hard. With her cheeks turning a bit red she laughed it off, awkwardly though, of course.

Shifting their course closer toward the edge of the walk, she got as nicely close to the plants off on the side as was possible. Though the ikebana competition taught her well not to go haphazardly touching anything.
