"Yeah, though understandable. I would be surprised if they offer something more powerful to their guests." He smiled at the thought. "I would appreciate that, certainly. Perhaps we could make a small group outing? We rented an ATV for the miai with the other MCA samurai,so if you want, we can also take a drive sometime, if you'd like. With some other people, or just the two of us, as you feel."

"Both sounds like fun, though I do think it's safer to be in groups when travelling out to the wilderness."

She wasn't going to do something reckless like taking a picnic out in the mushroom-forest just the two of them. She wasn't Yul, after all.

"How many of the Minor Clans are here for the miai? I admit that you're the first one I've had the chance to speak to here."

"Makes sense. We could do a small outing perhaps." He shrugged. "here are a few of us. Kitsune Izumi-sama, a shugenja of the Fox, Suzume Shion of the Sparrow of Rokugan, Nakauchi Mumei of the Osprey, shugenja, and Hotaru Koseki of the Firefly. It's a good group. I think I met Shinjo Yul-san from the Unicorn, and not sure about anyone else."

"A Suzume? I didn't think those left old Rokugan at all..." that was a little surprising. A Kitsune was a good surprise though, as there was still some ancient connections there to the Fox.

"Sounds like a good group indeed." A slight eye-twitch that he already had met Yul. "Ah, yes... we're four members of the Unicorn here. Shinjo Yul-san that you've already met, and two of the Moto - Moto Ganbold-san and Moto Ruhe-san."

They were strange sounding names, no doubt, but it seemed to leave her as the only female Unicorn present...

"Hai, a pretty friendly group. Ah, is something wrong Utaku-san? Did something fly into your eye?" He asked as her eye twitched weirdly. "Some Moto seem particularly suited to Asakaze, from what little I know of them. How do you like the planet so far?"

"Ah, no... it's nothing," she waved it off, a little annoyed that her annoyance had shown so easily.

"The Moto might be more well-adjusted to a planet with mega-fauna like this. One of our worlds, Kuwagata, also has something similar with giant beetles, which some Moto actually use for riding. As for myself... I find it a bit too hot and the air very stifling, but I'll admit it is beautiful, and the Phoenix have done a good job of finding their place here against the wilderness of the world."

She sighed and stretched, feeling her muscles became less tense and more limber thanks to the warmth of the water. "How does Asakaze compare to your homeworld?"

Jin nodded and listened. "Ah, sounds like a planet Kitsune-sama would greatly enjoy." He smiled at the thought. "Yeah, it1s been tremendously hot so far, though granted, as long as that's the worst we have to contend with." He shrugged, splashing some water all around him. "Well, it's certainly hotter, and far less fungi on mine." He smiled. "I was born on a primarily Crab planet, industrial focused, so you can guess the natural wonders."

He shrugged. "What about yours?"

"Something similar, but not quite." She lifted her chin slightly. "I'm from the Castle of Winds, which is an orbital castle, orbiting the world of Golden Fields. It's like a giant fortified space station, but also has engines and navcom to move if need be. So... as you might guess, I'm much more used to controlled atmosphere and temperature in my daily life."

"I've spent some time on Golden Fields though, but it's mostly fields and mountains - and a majority of it is agriculture. Nothing like this world - more temperate and... less weird."

Jin nodded in understanding. "I see, I see. Sounds..interesting." He said the last word with a smile. "I spent my time on ships, but never for a longer period." Tilting his head, he seemed to fall in thought. "It must be quite the experience. Perhaps I could visit one day." It would be certainly different from any planet he has ever been on!

"Mhm...yeah, most planets I visited did not have mushroom forests or giant lizards and birds. It's certainly a wonder here."

"It wouldn't be impossible. The Hare clan are a good and noble clan that stand on the right side of history and in the Empire." A bit lacking in subtetly there, but it was certainly true in her opinion. The Hare had no love for the Spider or the new alliance they had with the Crane and Mantis.

Jin smiled. "Well, we usually are." He tried not to think about some of the contracts that might be considered unsavory. "Perhaps Utaku-san can put in a good word for me?"

"I will see what can be done after the miai, but I don't think it will be impossible." She made no solid promises yet.

"Arigatou Utaku-san. That is all I can ask for." He smiled, soaking in the water gladly.

She nodded, giving him a brief and rare polite smile as she settled back to relax a bit more before getting on with the day.
