As much as Yul enjoyed spaceflight, it was a little rough on the body. Tight quarters, and limited accommodations. Stretching and exercise were part of the cure, but it also required a bit of clean-up, as well as some R&R. You couldn't always get both of those at the same place, but apparently at Asakaze, you could.

He'd already scrubbed himself thoroughly, head to foot. Now, carrying his bundle of clothing and a towel, he made his way out to the bathing area. He hesitated only a moment before heading towards the hot pool, unable to resist the sight of the hot steam rising off of the water.

Setting his bundle off to the side, Yul sank into the water with a sigh. He stopped when he came up to his neck, even letting his shoulders submerge. Unconcerned about his hair, he let it swirl around him in the water as he leaned back against the edge of the pool. "Okay." He murmured with another sigh.

The whole... process... of getting ready to get dressed in stupidly fancy clothing started with a cleansing bath... or so Chiyoko has been told. And since she was soon to be making her way to some event where she'd be needed to make a first impression, she heeded the advice of those who were adept at giving such things. So she took the proper care into cleaning herself properly, then made her way to the pools to soak.

But lo, the baths were already taken! So the towel clad Matsu tilted her head a moment, considering if she would take a lesser pool... before nodding and slipping into the hot pool, nodding her head politely to the other Samurai before pushing to the edge of the pool and letting out a content sigh.

Nozomi stood in the archway, eyeing the two samurai. One, an impeccably handsome man, getting ready for the dinner, most assuredly, just as she was! And a strong, proper lady, lingering outside the same pool.

And then said lady got into the pool too! Oh this was so tantalizing for the Kitsu, as evident by her pleased smile.

But it would be wrong for her to forget why she had come. Nozomi scurried over to the warm pool, letting the other two have their fun in the hot pool. She flipped between looking at them and not. Was privacy a thing to give here?

After making use of the array of soap as she cleaned herself, the light citrus one had been a pleasant surprise and helped to give a bit of mental uplift, Hakka walked into the area, towel clad and hair held fast in a set of plain hairsticks.

Three pools, two empty, her choice was a simple, go where the people are. As she reached the edge, Hakka dipped a foot in, found the heat to be just on the edge of perfect and too hot, and then stepped fully in. A nod of her head to the others there, she sat along the edge.

Oh. Suddenly there were even more people. Chiyoko sat up just a bit, trying to look a bit more proper in the water. Or at least polite. "Afternoon, -samas," she nodded her head twice. "Name's Matsu Chiyoko. Pleasure to meet you all."

Yul was relaxing, but not so thoroughly that he wasn't aware of someone approaching. His head came up, along with his eyebrows a moment later in polite inquiry. As was proper, he diverted his gaze as she stepped into the pool. Well... almost right away, anyway.

He looked back as the woman sighed. "Hello... Lion-san?" It seemed like a fair guess, based on her appearance. "I'm Shinjo Yul. It's a pleasure to meet you." His voice was slow, almost leisurely.

And then there was another! Yul sat up a little straighter, his shoulders rising out of the water. "Crane-san." That one was easy, anyway. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well. Shinjo Yul." He gave a tiny bow, his wet hair shifting forward around his face.

He brushed it back out of the way. Smiling, Yul waved an arm, gesturing around. "Nice to soak after a long spaceflight, huh?" Curiously, he glanced over at the woman who'd taken the warm bath instead.

Nozomi eyed the other woman, a Crane by the looks of it, and had to take a moment to readjust her glasses. She glanced at all of them before they started to fog up.

Whoops. She took them off and turned back away. She wasn't going to say anything to the man during this. After all, if he was to woo two suitors in the same bath...

It seemed bowing in less than optimal conditions were to be the order of things, at least until she stopped placing herself into situations that deemed such necessary, but needs must and Hakka gave the best bow she could from her spot.

"Yes, indeed. It's been some time since I had to do such a long haul of a trip, not since before my last assignment." She settled back into the rocks in what could theoretically be called a more comfortable position. "This one is called Doji Hakka, of the vassal family Katogama."

"This was exactly what the Doctor ordered," Chiyoko agreed with the rest. "Shinjo-san. Doji-san. I'm glad to make two new acquaintance." And then she looks over to the mysterious woman in the warm water. "Though it could be three if our other friend likes!"

"Yeah." Yul sighed. He stretched out, putting his arms along the top of the sauna wall. He was lean, but muscled, clearly a bushi. "Getting off a long ship tour takes a week to work out all the kinks. I feel like this might cut it in half."

He looked at Hakka. "Assignment?"

His lips parted, but before he could ask for more, his attention locked on the woman in the other pool once more. "No pressure, but it is nice and hot over here." Yul called to her, entirely unaware of the mental fuel he was likely providing.

"Even a courtier must travel, Shinjo-sama," said Hakka, a hand trailing in the water, before she gave a quirk of her lips upward.

She too glanced over at Nozomi, a perfectly groomed brow arching just a degree upwards, but looked back at the other two. "Matsu-sama, your name holds some familiarity as if I've heard it of late..." She trails off, as if offering her the chance to fill in a bit of information about herself.

"Ah, my name has come through Ikoma informators a lot as of late," Chiyoko nodded. "My skills as a sharpshooter have been spoken of a lot as of late."

"That's certainly true." Yul agreed. He smiled as she did. "But please, I'm no -sama. The most junior member of my unit, as some of them would be quick to remind me."

Her implied question made Yul give Chiyoko a sharper look, his brown eyes lighting in recognition at the word sharpshooter. "Oh. Yeah. I've heard that name before, too." The fingers of his right hand drummed on the wall of the sauna, then he smiled. "So, you must be pretty good, huh?"

Hakka's blue eyes brightened considerably at that, looking rather excited if one knew how to look. "A sharpshooter, how exciting! I am an avid fan of riflery myself and to meet one of such acclaim is always a pleasure."

Chiyoko regarded Yul a moment before nodding. "The action that has earned me much of my acclaim was downing a dropship at the edge of my Heavy Assault Rifle's effective range. I don't like to brag too much, but I think such an accomplishment is worthy of some pride."

Nozomi slipped further into her pool, not showing her face to the others. "I'm fine over here. Thank you for the courtesy, though. It's nice to be wanted."

She buried herself into the warm water after that last part.

Yul gave a vague wave, acknowledging the woman in the other pool.

He went from leaning back to leaning forward, his arms coming off the wall to submerge in the water as he did so. "Really? A dropship?" Yul frowned, but it was a decidedly curious one. "How'd that happen? Where did you hit it?"

Chiyoko can't help but giggle lightly at Nozomi's words. But her attention returned to Yul. "Engines. Caught it in just the right spot to cause the explosions what usually move the ship to cause it to blow up instead."

Yul's eyebrows went up, and he let out a faint whistle. "Wow. That must have been a nice shot. I'd love to have seen that." He smirked. "From a safe distance, of course."

He sat back again, leaning against the wall once more. "I'm a pretty good shot myself." He said modestly. "Had a lot of practice, when I was young. Now I mostly use my ship's cannons, but I keep my hand in."

Yul turned his gaze on the Crane. "Sounds like you do some shooting, too?" His eyes flickered back and forth between his two bathing partners.

Hakka nodded, saying, "Yes. Much like yourself, Shinjo-san, I've been shooting since I was young. I often used my family's range when I was closer to home, same as the estate's woods for hunting. The gamemasters of my home are quite skilled at keeping the wildlife properly stocked for such purposes. My skill would never compare to the feats that Matsu-san seems to have accomplished nor what I'm sure you have the ability to, but, they suit my need for them."

She stretched out her legs, before resettling them tucked sideways underneath her body.
