"Would... you like to move to a cooler pool, Doji-san?" He looked to one of the other baths. "Together, I mean." Why was this difficult? Was it because they were roommates?

Still, he couldn't help but offer her a smile.

"It's generally a good idea, mmm," she nodded, glancing over toward the middle bath. "Better to cool down that way before moving on or into another bath," she said, fiddling with her index finger down by her side.

He nodded, moving away from where he sat, heading to the steps of the pool. He quickly moved, headingnto the next temperature down.

He hated it. Much preferring the heat of the former, but he wanted more time with Ichika. He turned, to watch her for a moment, before turning again to allow her some privacy.

Glancing over she offered him a little smile when he looked back, having just raised her head when she heard him slip in. With a little nod after he looked away she shifted and pulled herself up and out of the pool. Moving over toward the other one and slipping in, "Ahhh," she vocalized, a smile.

"Feels a little cool getting in, doesn't it?" she asked with a little smirk as she settled into her new seat.

"Refreshing." Ryuu nodded, popping the knuckles in his fingers. Feeling the muscles being soothed by the cooler water. "I have heard of some who end their training by bathing in tubs of pure ice. Not something I would want to experience." He chuckled a little.

"That sounds.." she glances over once more, to the cooled pool, "like a lot," she giggles into her hand. "I've never even moved down to the coldest pool in one of these situations before. Going from the heat into my clothes though always feels soooo.." she paused, furrowed a brow as she brought a hand up to touch her chin, "stuffy? Yea, stuffy."

"That makes sense." He watched as her hand delicately touched her chin. It was endearing. "I find myself enjoying that little discomfort. Because it keeps me on my toes. Always aware. The chilled pool seems to focus my attention."

He chuckled. "But you are right. The ice is a bit much." His smile to her was genuine. "Some days on Shiragiku can be quite humid. So not wanting to feel stuffy," the word seemed awkward from his lips, "is something I firmly get behind."

"Nothing worse than feeling stuffy in clothes you can't escape, yea?" she said, a little smile. "Let the clothes warm you up and it's too humid, let them be where you cool down and it gets stuffy," she waved her hand a little, "doesn't really feel great either way. Pool helps you.. normalize, a little, yea?" she smiled again.

"Which is why a warm home is so important. To have a place you can eacape from those clothes." He laughed, more a chuckle really, but it seemed somewhat nervous. Concern that he might offend her.

"And yes. To balance oneself, that seems to be the point. To allow one to find their center."

"Mmm," she dipped her head with the first, smiling as she glanced aside. Taking the moment with the thought, letting the sound of the water attract her attention. Shifting lightly in the water while she smelled the air, feeling the moment.

Ryuu knew his gaze could be intense. Yet he found himself focusing it on Ichika as she relaxed. Watching, observing. She was stunning in her fontentment of the moment. The way everything about her seemed at peace. He said nothing, only shifting himself to lean his back against the pool wall.

Yet every so often, glances were stolen, little moments in time, frozen in his memory.
