Izumi was back behind the wheel, probably not impressing his companions overly, but this wasn't stunt driving. "Didyougetagasmask, Shinjo-san? Justincase." He had his own purchase from the morning in his pack ready. |

Indeed, while Yul was sometimes wincing as they hit a bump, he did respect the sacred rules of vehicle ownership, even more important than Izumi's higher status. It was the Kitsune's ATV, so he got to drive if he wanted. Just as he expected that they others would respect the rules of calling shotgun. That's where Yul sat now, rifle nearby, but with the safety engaged. "Yep." Yul nodded, holding it up. He was dressed and equipped for action, with most of his gear. This was a proper adventure after all, and it was good to be prepared. "I'm ready for anything!" |

A lesser or more careful driver might have gone round it. Izumi had no such qualms. This was an ATV and all terrain it would do. Over they went, although not particularly quickly. |

 Somewhere in the shadows of tall stalks, a small peacock lizard chased even smaller centipede, trying to nibble it to death even as the bug tried to desperately flee the impeding doom. While the bug was making the lizard work for its meal, it seemed that the hundred--legged critter would become a lizard-lunch sooner than later. |

Izumi stopped instantly when he spotted the lizard. "Ohthere'soneofthosecolourfulones!!!! Where'smyholorecorder . . . ?" There was a flurry of searching through his gear before coming up with the 'recorder and doing his best to get a good shot of the lizard. "Mumeiwillovethese." |

Yul observed the lizard through the scope on his rifle, but the safety was on, and his finger was nowhere near the trigger; it was just for the extra magnification. "Hey, pretty good!" He said. "So that's what it looks like. Did you ever find out if that's one of the kind we ate?" "Mumei?" Yul asked. |

Ganbold clambered out the back of the vehicle, his broad shoulders negotiating the tight squeeze well enough, though quiet...quiet might not be his thing. |

While not stealthy, as say a non existent ninja, Izumi did have a Kitsune's hunting training. Still relevant in the modern worlds of the Empire, but not sneaking. Izumi advanced carefully on the rainbow coloured reptile, holorecorder out and recording. Neither Fox not recorder were on silent. Basically . . . the lizard knew they were coming. |

"Easy... easy..." Yul hung back a respectful distance. Lizards were cool, but it was clear that Izumi was more excited about it than he was. Better to give him the best view. |
