The vast, poorly explored mountain range of Skyreach dominates the western skyline of Shiro Yoake. While the windswept mountains are practically impassable, the Phoenix have been busy exploring and charting the highlands that stand between the city and the mountains proper. The terrain is rough and dedicated climbing equipment is often needed to transverse obstacles. It is possible to reach the highlands with a chopper or a glider, but the fierce winds that rage around the Skyreach makes flying a risk prospect.

On the highlands, well above the sea level and far away from the fungal forest, the air is both fresh and crisp. The jagged rocks and most of the ground is covered with stick, greenish moss that seems to be slowly eating its way into the stone. Besides the moss, few things grow here. Small, thorny tangled-plants can be seen creeping along the ground. Among these plants, small furry rodents can be seen darting around, occasionally pausing to study the 'intruders' before scurrying away.

Location rules: Late Evening, Early Night, Late Night and Early Morning slots are considered 'nighttime' for the purposes of random encounters. Random encounters have potential to be lethal.

Skyreach can only be reached by renting an ornitopher (a small helicopter like vehicle with room for pilot and three others). In order to fly to the location the pilot must pass Piloting / Agility against TN 10 or crash the craft. Should your craft crash, please let the GM's know...
