"I would have to agree! To even consider such a thing when going on something even vaguely related to camping?" He shook his head. "I just... I can't... I just can't even fathom that amount of disrepect given to something as wonderful as camping."

"The whole pointing of camping is to use as many resources as possible trying but not quite succeeding at recreating the comforts one could have if they stayed home."
A sad shake of her head

"Trying to be economical about it defeats the purpose."

"Right! I mean, within reason of course. If you're bringing along pre-fabricated buildings or something you've gone too far a tent really needs to be involved."

"Either way, a economical vehicle 8d just shameful."

"Of course, a tent is traditional."

"Asakaze could have some great camping if it wasn't for the weather, flora and fauna. Besides that it's an adequate planet."

"I mean even with that if we had enough people to form an adequate night watch we could probably manage." Hayato replied thoughtfully. "Though at that point its less camping and more an expedition."

He frowned. "Which isn't quite the same."

"I think if either of us want an expedition we just report to our units for duty. It's even easier, they'll organise all the supplies and choose the destination."

"You make a good point there." Hayato replied with a sigh. "They'd probably even have a good time planning it to."

"I suppose that just means we dream of camping until we find a place with less man eating lizards."

"Exactly. Camping is great but one cannot toast smores while fighting monsters...well, you could, it would just be exceptionally difficult."
Shaking her head ruthfully

"Somehow, I don't think I am getting posted to a camping friendly planet any time soon."

"That doesn't seem like the type of planet you would normally send a member of the jade legion." Hayato confirmed with a brief grimace.

"Maybe you'll get some time for it when you're married though. You could find a quiet place and do all those romantic things from those novels you love. Kiss at a lakeside while the sun sets. Dance in a meadow under the moonlight. You know that sort of thing."

"Exactly." Though he was pretty certain Nozomi could never actually achieve that. "I mean it wouldn't hurt if you were there to hold her and help steady her aim either."

"Exactly, I'd wrap my arms around her and hold her tightly...to uh, aid with recoil absorption."

Hayato reached up a hand and pretended to use his thumb to dab away at the edge of his mouth. "Exactly to help absorb the recoil."

"Nothing at all inappropriate about that."

"Hmmm? Hey! Not like that....Okay, maybe a little like that."
Mumbling to herself
"It would still increase her accuracy."

"Of course." He agreed seriously. "And put you in the perfect position to congratulate her by whispering in her ear."

"You wouldn't want to talk too loudly after all, you could hurt her hearing."

It's hard to tell from the angle, but Shoan might actually be blushing...or perhaps flushing with healthy vigour. Damn angle

"She's a shugenja and it would be innapropriate to yell at her."

Hayato had to fight down the urge to chuckle. "Quite right, that would be inappropriate."

He offered the Lion a playful nudge with his shoulder. "Still I'm glad to hear all that studying of the classics won't go to waste."

Okay, that is definitely a blush as she nudges back

"Yes, quite. She is an avid reader as well so between us we will know all the appropriate basics."

He reached a hand back and rubbed the back of his neck, avoiding looking at the blushing Lion as he teased her more. "And what you're not sure of you can always practice."
