He nodded, and kicked another nearby rock into the water.

"This is really a piss poor Lake you know." He shook his head. "Not even a beach to speak of."

“Imagine the poor samurai who trek up here with a towel expecting a beautiful beach with gorgeous clean water... not that I’ve actually ever been to such a place..... honestly by my standards this could be worse.”

"I mean if you want to do a bit of sunbathing I brought the tarp." He glanced towards the water. "I'd avoid taking a dip though, you might end up with mushrooms for toes or something."

“It would take a looooong time to get all this armour off.”
Following his glance

“And I didn’t bring any industrial strength decontaminate”

"I'm not sure industrial strength would do it." It probably wouldn't get off enough layers of skin.

He smirked. "It's probably better I didn't watch a fifteen minute striptease punctuated by plates banging aganist each other either." That would be bad for his hearing.

“It would be terrible for you blood pressure. And this thing is so many layers. Still, there is some use to not dying, I suppose.”

"Don't have to be shot more then once for you to understand the importance of armor, and the exact reason why we wear it." Hayato confirmed, tapping on his own chest piece.

"I mean it's not much good for sneaking up on drifters mind you..."

"I mean, from a certain perspective, it was successful."

"They didn't try to run away..."

"So we got what we wanted, though not really in the way we wanted." He agreed with a nod. "Still glad there wasn't 50 of them."

"I wasn't that loud...I think, it was hard to tell, I heard quite the echo."

"I think you must of banged your helemt or something..." Hayato replied with the chuckle.

"Because instead of Whispering you were yelling your instructions."

"I just have a commanding voice. It's not my fault the drifter heard me...from 80 feet away...under water."

"It seemed to be from a bit farther away then that." He teased, a slight smirk on his lips.

"As you said though, it worked out."

"Well....we doubled our odds of finding the right drifter. So...yes, it worked out doubly well."

"Too bad we couldn't tell if one of them was the one." It had seemed a bad idea to cut them open and look for partially digested samurai.

"Means it's likely still out there."

"Well we can't simply kill every drifter on Asakaze....it would take weeks and the miai is finishing in a few days."

"I'd need a lot more clips for my rifle too." Clips for his sidearm were not a problem.

"But you're right. Time is an issue."

"Not that I would gainsay our elders but....12 days? 12 days feels like a short time to pick a spouse."

"It does seem like not much time at all, at least to me." He shook his head. "Though others seemed to have it figured out in a week. So maybe it's not such a short time after all."

“Some figured it out in three days... do they not know how hard getting married is?”
