"It comes with auditioning for a role in a romance novel?" Hayato offered with a playful smirk.

"You're right though, Kitsu-san probably isn't ready for the beige, it's a powerful weapon after all. You must use it wisely."

“I could hint at it.. you know like... I would maybe stretch out an arm?”
Shaking her head
“No no. That’s not appropriate.”

"If you're really interested just wear a bit if a loose shirt when you go exercising and have Kitsu-san come along." Hayato suggested.

"You can sit down and have her hold your legs while you stretch forward. If she saw something it'd just be an accident like that m." Thats how these things worked right?

“.... That’s genius. No wonder you are so good at this Hayato-san. I would never even consider half of what you are suggesting.”

Maybe he really shouldn't be suggesting half of these things To her? Well, it's not like she had to do any of them.

"I'm sure you will figure it all out on your own somewhere down the line. It's just a matter of practice." He glanced at Shoan. "We're just a bit more open about flirting among the Mantis, so we're a bit better prepared is all."

“This is where as a Lion I obligated to remind you of the important of decorum and respect of one’s self and one’s fellow samurai at all times..... but if you have any other tips....”

"That's very fine advice." Hayato replied with a few polite nods of his head. "I can do with keeping that in mind for my date tonight. Not that I really expect anything out of the ordinary." Ishiyo was after all still pretty straight laced.

"Still I can probably write a few things down. It's not like there is anything wrong with stdying that kind of thing."

“Exactly....even if you don’t do certain things knowing about them is a good idea. Then you can avoid them.”

"Knowledge can be an assest in these types of situations.' He agreed with a nod.

"Though a lot of these things depend upon the type of situation you are in."

"But to determine the situation you're in requires knowledge in the first place."

"You make a good point there." He agreed, walking back over to the jeep and leaning against it.

"We're talking about just in general here? Or did you want something a bit more specific?"

"Well, hypothetically speaking."
The Lion follows him and posts up by the vehicle's front
"How do you know if someone likes you in a...non-plutonic way?"

"Oh, that's a bit different for most people, or so I've found." Hayato smirked. "You can always just be straight with em and ask em on a date."

"But I guess that's not what you're looking for, and i should probably say I'm not really an expert here. Sometimes it's picking up on small things, like what they do, how they look at you. Even what they don't do."

He chuckled softly. "I know that doesn't make a lot of sense hearing it just like that but. It's like... Are they looking at you when you talk, and listening to what you say? Where are they looking at you when you're talking? If you reach for the same object do your fingers touch, and if so how do they react. You're basically reading little bits of how people react to you, and the energy you're releasing."

"I suppose some of it is just instinct too though."

"Ah I see."
Shoan nods thoughtfully

There's a long pause
"I think Matsu Tanamu-san in the senior year of my studies had a crush on me then."

He paused a moment. "It's possible."

"Could I hear your reasoning?" She might be right about it, but knowing Shoan...

"Well, he kept reaching for the chopsticks when I did, and our hands would always meet. Then he would keep following me around and laughing at my jokes."
Looking over at Hayato
"Something very unusual indeed. Then at one point he tried to kiss me...."

"Thats a pretty good indication that he was interested." He trailed off and glanced at Shoan. "I take it you Matsu-matsued hom?"

"...He should have warned me, instead his face was just...there coming in. I may have bruised some of his ribs..."

"You didn't warn me." He offered teasingly. "He probably thoguht the moment was right or something, turns out he was wrong though." Hayato finished with a soft chuckle. " But, that would be an accurate depection of misreading a situation. So you've at least got some experience with that."

"Well...I was pretty sure the heavy armour could absorb the blow but...you may have a point."
Shoan does look more than a little chagrined. It had seemed like a good idea at the time!

"I probably should have realised sooner....and he should have realised sooner, it was all very awkward."
