"If you didn't notice though, it's highly likely you didn't want to kiss him anyways. So i'll say you get a pass on that?"

“He wasn’t a bad student.... but he should definitely have asked.. and washed more regularly. Politeness and cleanliness go a long way when it comes to kissing someone.”

"Yeah, I mean most times at least." He agreed with a nod. "If he didn't bathe enough though... Well its unlikely many people would want to be around him for long."

"I mean at least shower after morning practice."

Shoan sighs, disappointed with the world.

“Teenage boys.... generally not a high point for a samurai.”

He raised an eyebrow at that. "And teenage girls are markedly better?" There was a bit of amusement in his tone as he asked.

“We Shower. Quite often in fact. I think it’s objective that teenage girls are more mature and much cleaner.”

"You also spend a lot of time playing in the bath, so I suppose I'll give you that at least." Hayato admitted after a moment, at the least they smelled better.

Primly “Not only are we cleaning ourselves, we are in bathhouse combat, an ancient Matsu tradition.”

Where the Matsu practice their long standing tradition of girls love in the baths. No that wasn't what she had said, though it was probably close to what Hayato was thinking. "You have mentioned that before." He replied with a slight smile. "You are the reigning champion os Asakaze if I recall.

Shoan shrugs but is obviously quite pleased with herself.

“It is a skill I perfected through many long years of work. Although I have no yet faced Matsu Hide-san.”

"Well, you are running out of time for that!" Hayato replied enthusiastically. "A true champion of Asakaze must be crowned. So it seems like you have a challenge to issue!"

A little suspicious
“... why all the interest Hayato-san?”

"Well, I just wouldn't want you leaving asakaze with that question lingering is all." Hayato explained. "Was I really the best? Was Matsu-san better?"

"It smcould haunt you, ya know."

“... you’re very convincing, I’ll give you that. But a true samurai has no need to seek out such contests.... and I’d win too, obviously.”

."It's not like I planned to go watch though I was just kind of interested myself."

She wags a finger at Hayato

"And I am very talented, I defeated a shugenja just last week."

"Nakauchi-san, you told me about it." Hayato replied with a wry smile. That really was a proud moment for Shoan, wasn't it?

"I do wonder how I'd manage to be near though. Unless you planned to tell me the time?"
