"I'm sure you have an esoteric skill somewhere, maybe something that involves shins?" He mused.

"I'm not sure if I'd like to the protagonist in a romantic comedy though. I mean those weird moments where things get a bit lewd may be fun. But I'm pretty sure most of them get injured quite a bit."

"That is why you use protection."

"I suppose I could wear armor the whole time." He agreed with a wry smile. "Might take some of those sharp elbows."

He glanced her way and grinned. "But also I never thought I'd catch you being so lewd."

primly"Lewdness is in the eye of the beholder. I offered a perfectly proper and practical suggestion about protective garments. How that is received reflects the lewdness of the recipient."

"Mmmmhmmmm." Hayato replied with a knowing smirk.

"I'll trust you on that one."

"I am sure you do...but it is a lewd trust."

"A lewd trust?" Hayato pondered that for a few moments.

"That's a new one to me. What doe sit mean?" He was actually kind of curious about it.

"It simply means that I trust you to be lewd. Or perhaps I am lewd and trusting?"

"You might want to figure out which that is." Hayato offered with a soft chuckle. "They lead to two different places entirely."

"Mmmmh"
Shoan pretends to consider that
"....No. No I think I will leave that to you."

"That's just another way of saying you're lewd and trusting, Shoan-san. It's not really leaving things to me." Hayato replied with a chuckle.

“I am clearly neither. Anyone who knows me would say I am innocent and paranoid.”

"Innocent and paranoid and imagining the woman you wish to marry in a sexy tiger costume." He replied thoughtfully. "I suppose all those can work together."

"you're just a bit like batterball in that way. The rules are shifted slightly to match the occaasion."

“I assure you, I am working over time to stop imagining that.”
She furrows her brow to demonstrate

“I have never considered myself a living embodiment of batterball.”

"Well." Hayato glanced her way.

"Do you even know what battery batterball is?" He'd be a bit surprised if she did. Could be the lion had their own version though.

“.... I’m going to say no assuming such ignorance is not devastating to my likeability.”

"It's not." Hayato replied with a wry smile.

"I'd tell you all about it, but it seems pointless since we'll never get enough people together to play." They'd need about ten, which make t hard to put together.

“Well you can hardly just leave it there. What does it involve? Is it really battery based?”

He chuckled at that. "Batter ball, not battery ball."

"We play it in the fields sometimes, or on base in our free time among squads." His eyes remained on the road as he explained. "It's a bit like baseball, but easier to play and you don't need a specific type of ball or bat. all you really need is a ball of some type and something to hit it with."

"Once you have your ball and bat, all you need is a a few bases. Three or four is the usual, but in bigger games I've seen as many as seven. There is no pitcher, so you do the batting my tossing up the ball and hitting it yourself. That doesn't mean you can just swing to the fences though. If you hit it too far you're automatically out. You don't want to lose the ball after all, especially out in the field.

"It's the opposing teams job is to field the ball, and get the runners out by pegging them with the ball. If they get to the base they are safe, and if they get home they score a run. Bases are usually tree's or some other thing you can duck behind to help avoid being hit. it sometimes it gets a bit creative getting to base."

"there is more to it though, but those are the basics."

Shoan listens intently, nodding occasionally as Hayato explain the intricacies of batter ball
"So it's a game of...precision and athletecism that can be played anywhere? I think the Akodo might appreciate 'batter ball' if they don't have have a 1500 year old version that takes three times as long to play....are you any good at it?"
