"I'm glad to hear, I room with Kuni-san though so I suppose I am close enough to find out if I really wantd to look. Though I honestly hardly see her in our room at the Wisteria."

"Daidoji Ishiyo? She is an option, and he seem to get along together fairly well." He reached a hand back to rub his neck. "I have plans to meet her later tonight for drinks in fact. As for her cousin Daidoji Kamui-san? He seems to be avoiding me since he learned I was considering mirror matches." He wrinkled his nose. "I am starting to doubt that some here even know what those entail."

"Some samurai just have no taste, he's missing out, you'd be a great Daidoji. I'll say a prayer to Benten...or I guess maybe Daikoku for your success this evening. You have a certain track record when it comes to drinks and samurai-ko. Maybe tomorrow I'll be hearing all about your plans for a successful new match?"

"Thanks." Hayato replied simply offering a warm smile to Shoan. "Daikoku might be the right one as well, I mean both Daidoji Ishiyo-san and myself are fairly affluent. I'm not quite sure I want to imagine what our combined stipends may be." He added with a chuckle.

"For me though, I hope it's Benten blessing for you and Kitsu-san, if there are a pair of samurai here that deserve it, it would be you two." He added after a moment.

"Tricky Mantis. If she and I are as happy as you and Daidoji-san are wealthy....then we would all be very fortunate."
Teasingly And, if you wanted, you two could probably buy a small planet somewhere for holidays. Don't tell me she's also the niece of some big time Crane corporate magnate?"

"The youngest daughter." He replied unable to keep an amused smile from touching his lips. "It'd likely be a match both our fathers would be very pleased with." Hayato added a moment later.

"Though I don't know if buying any small planets will be in our future." The last was punctuated by giving the Lion a platful jab with his elbow. "Should I tell you how it goes?"

"Of course I want to know how it goes between you-"

"-And the youngest daughter. It does seem like a smart move business wise. 'Hayisho Industries' could have a bright future ahead of it."

He paused and what was likely considered a very rash and stupid move by most when dealing with a Lion known to have very sharp elbows, wrapped his arms around Shoan in a hug. "I am sorry you, know that we couldn't be more." He offered softly given that he wasn't instantly tossed into a puddle of murky water along the shore.

There is a sudden tensing and Hayato is lifting off his feet and nearly over her shoulder before Shoan's mind catches up with her body's well honed instinct to toss anyone attempting to grapple her. Then she carefully lets him down and relaxes into a tight hug, sharp elbows and all.

Sounding ever so slightly choked up."There's nothing to be sorry about. Just make sure whoever you end up with is half as fun as I am."

"That's a difficult task, but I'll try and manage it." Ishiyo was rather fun, but didn't have quite the drt wit Shoan managed. He offered the Lion once las tsquueze before letting his arms loosen so both of them could step away and compose themselves.

He was quite glad that he hadn't ended up on his head in whatever this beach had that passed for sand.

Hayato gave her all the time she needed to ponder her next wrestling move or decide upon which passage from leadership to quote him.

In the meantime he fidgeted with his inhalator, maybe really did need to give up smoking.

She glances back at the Mantis and then back to the Sky

"You know you can smoke, if you want to. I'll try reasonably hard not to be judgemental."
She did still think he needed to give up the smoking though.

"But then I can't distract you by fiddling with it." Hayato mused, though he did bring the device to his lips to take a single puff.

"I am considering quitting though, after I'm married. I don't mind damaging my own lungs, but I can't go around doing the same to my kids."

Approvingly "Well, that is quite a mature commitment....It won't be easy but...well, I know a samurai who is addicted to suicidal battles, and he's turning that around, so if you work on it...."

"Anything is possible?" He glanced at Shoan and smirked. "I suppose I should say I wish that fella you know luck, it seems like he's probably going to need it."

Taking another drag from the inhalator, he put it away. "When I do, I'll ship you my lighter so you always have something to play with."

"I will spin it on the table in your honour....although if my children ask what it is I will explain it was a gift from a strange man who sang of journies and rented many cars."
Her turn to smirk slightly
"They need to be raised with good habits too."

"You should likely tell them all about me then, I'm quite the excellent rolemodel after all." He teased in return, though it did amuse him to be called a strange man who sang of journeys.

"Though I do wonder what you have aganist the atv?" Hayato asked jerking a thumb at the beige suv he had rented.

Turning to admire the mud covered vehicle"Nothing, it's a great car. That's why you're a hero in this story instead of a villain who sang of journies. Now if you'd rented a smart car? Then there'd be trouble"

"What kind of monster would ever do something like that?" He asked, his face a mask of faux outrage. "Especially when the plan was to drive to a smelly patch of fungi that vaguely resembles a beach!"

This really had to be the lousiest beach that he had ever seen.

Shaking his head he sighed. "I would never imagine anyone would ever attempt such blasphemy."

Her voice seething with equally faux contempt
"There are probably Clans that value the superior fuel mileage....but it comes at the cost of their glory and I would even say, honour."
