Almost ten miles wide and twelve miles long, Murkwater is the largest and deepest lake on the planet. Much of the rugged terrain surrounding the lake is poorly known as rocky heights and deep ravines make the area inaccessible by foot. Yet amidst the rough terrain lies a natural pathway, a shallow river that leads to the area known Murkwater Bay. The shoreline of the bay is covered with white and yellow mosses. The air near the bay smells salty as the muddy, green water is slightly brackish. Fungi-like algae clings to the rocks where the ground meets the water and small centipede-like creatures can be seen scuttling around.

The lake ecosystem is poorly known, but existence of several large predators has been confirmed. Large lizard-like creatures with long serpentine necks are known pray upon the wild otori herds that come to lake for water. Evidence of these attacks is easy to come by as bones of the large birds can be found near the waterline.

Location rules: Late Evening, Early Night, Late Night and Early Morning slots are considered 'nighttime' for the purposes of random encounters. Random encounters have potential to be lethal.

On foot, it takes an entire time slot to travel to Murkwater Bay. e.g. if you plan to spend Late Afternoon at the bay, you must use Early Afternoon and Early Evening slots to travel. If the character(s) have an access to a mount or vehicle the location can be reached more easily - no time slots need to be reserved for traveling.
