Owned and operated by a Yasuki renegade with deep pockets, the Drunk’n Crab is easily the most infamous sake house in the city. While several more esteemed sake houses serve off-world spirits in the city, none of them can quite compete with the prices of the Drunk’n Crab. The cheap prices combined with a rather poor location and gaudy interior means that the clientele of the Drunk’n Crab consists mostly of low ranking buke, though heimin are allowed to enter if they are accompanied by a samurai.
The bar itself is dimly lit to save electricity and to create an ambient mood. Older Crab and Phoenix music, mainly enka, plays in the background though the staff keeps the volume rather low to allow the patrons to enjoy conversation without having to raise their voices. The worn and smudgy stools and tables, built from cheap fungal-fiber plastics, have seen better days. Despite the shabby condition of the sake house, the air conditioning system is at least new, meaning that the climate within is pleasantly cool and dry.
