The first thing Hide had noticed as she walked into the Drunk’n Crab was the very nice air conditioning. Why hadn’t she discovered this place earlier? That alone made her want to come back, which she was planning on doing anyway. She scanned the bar for someplace nice to sit. For future reference, as she ultimately just takes a seat by the entrance.

Well that was a familiar face. Hide waved to the Unicorn, big grin on her face. "Heyyyyy. Moto-san, you gonna play?" It seemed like Hide was gonna be really casual here. She didn't care much for the formalities, anyway.

“Why wouldn’t I? I heard you at the Kayama. I’m kind of jealous, not gonna lie.” Hide crosses her arms, giving Ruhe a huge grin. “Man, I wish I had a talent like that. All I’m able to do in the music arena is embarrass myself at karaoke. How much practice you do to get that good?”

"As much as your heart dictates, frankly." Ruhe never looked at it from the perspective of practice. "Techniques are important, but if someone doesn't feel it spiritually, no amount of hard work can fix that. At least that's my experience." He paused by to offer her his hand for a handshake. "Still, you may be underselling yourself on this. I bet your spirit is strong and you can growl ferociously!"

She glanced down at the extended hand and without hesitation took it and gave him a firm shake. All the while, Hide couldn’t help but let out a hardy laugh. “Mother was a Moto, probably won’t get the same reaction from my other Clan mates, however.” “As for your spirit being into it, doesn’t hard work and dedication mean you’re passionate about your music? Maybe I’m wrong, but I tend to believe that these things aren’t mutually exclusive.”

Tetsu perks up when he comes in a bit early and sees Ruhe at the bar. "Moto-san!" Tetsu offers the handshake he's become accustomed to. "I didn't hear you were playing tonight, do you need your sound man again?"

"A Moto mom? You're practically family! That's grand!" Ruhe was happy, and it was good that she had told him for it meant she couldn't be his choice; Shinjo's Laws against inbreeding and all. "I mean they're one way to express it, but not the only one. So you're not wrong at all!" He then warmly greeted Tetsu. "Looks like I'll have an audience, so let's plug it all up, mate!"

“I think I found which side of my family has the party gene, then!” She couldn’t stop herself from smiling, Ruhe seemed pretty happy. Hide blinked, wow there’s Crab she hasn’t met with yet? How many were there at the miai anyway? “I see Moto-san is a popular guy.”

Tetsu flashes a thumbs up to the Lion. "Oh, very much. I think Tomo-san keeps giving him drinks on the house because he's fantastic for business. That and he's, well, a genial fellow who can rock his ass off. I'm Kaiu Tetsu by the way. I'll be happy to chat, but I have to run a quick sound check." Tetsu slaps a hand on Ruhe's shoulder and heads to the sound booth.

She gave the Moto a big wave as he set up. This was going to be a lot of fun. “Show us what you got, Moto-san!” Hide turned her attention back to the Crab, arms crossed over her chest and a big grin on her face. “Good to see more Crab around. I’m sorry to have not introduced myself yet. Matsu Hide, just a simple marine with no big fancy titles. But I am the Matsu here that knows how to party.”

Ruhe grabbed the mic and addressed the bar crowd. "Tonight, I'm gonna try something different with you. If you feel like moving your asses to my music and sing with me, grab your drinks and..." Mortal Kombat Scorpion growl mode "Come over here!" Then he started to play. It was a weird but quirky and very danceworthy combo of metal and swing. Someone else couldn't have pulled that off. “Well, I’m good friends with a couple of your Clan here. Met another yesterday as well. So you’d be the fourth I’ve met?” Hide watched the Moto play with a hint of wonder in her eyes. This miai sure brought some interesting folks, but she never expected this level of talent here. And of the cheers, Hide’s was among the loudest. ”Yeaaaaah!”
