Ruhe and Onikage weren't instant friends. There was tension between them. The birb had character and an eye that could roll in condescension (probably two eyes being able to do it, but only one visible at a time). And one could say that their initial role distribution into master and steed hadn't been consensual. Still, Ruhe thought that music would unite them, so he was spending his moments riding Onikage on saturating their relationship with power ballads.

"Face me evil tsukai, smell the hate of Death Lords

Thunderous fiddling could be heard across the plain, carried on the wind.

"Drumstick...I don't know why, but the name has stuck." The golden brown Otori shuffles a little, likely not comprehending in the implication of the name. "Let's see what you can do."

It is a rough outing. Tetsu didn't particularly do fantastic during the taming, but Drumstick isn't exactly throwing him off.

Something lures him over, a song echoing across the plains. Tetsu chases the sound, revealing a Unicorn out on an Otori of his own.

"You have an impressive voice there"

"Guess the echo of the plain helps!" The man replied on a jovial note, breaking singing. "I am conditioning my bird. I see you've got one too."

"Something like that. If nothing else, it's building up the dark meat, right Drumstick" Tetsu slaps the feathers of the Otori. "I think the implication help." Tetsu offers a grin. "Kaiu Tetsu of Fundai at your service"

"Moto Ruhe, glad to meet." The Unicorn offered his hand. Who knew, maybe a Crab would honour this custom of his people. "Well, roast chicken feast is an eventuality, but I still hope Onikage will prove to be a greater being than just dinner."

Tetsu looks down at the extended hand and then slowly extends one back.

"Huh, never did this one before. How do you...?"

"Like that." Ruhe demonstrated, squeezing firmly, though not in a way that could intimidate a Crab. "It's an old tradition. You give your sword arm to show good intentions as you can't draw with it during greeting."

"Ahh. It makes a surprising amount of sense." Tetsu affirms the gesture. "Though I have a feeling someone never asked about an off handed Tetsubo. But that's a Crab thing." There is an offhanded smile at Tetsu gently referencing a Clan stereotype.

"I am curious: do your perform? Singing I mean, not hand shaking"

Kamui is walking by the two gentleman, and hears the conversation. He stopped and waits to see if there will be a perform or not.

"Sure I do. That's my life kind of, music-making. I do vocals, but I mostly do instruments, especially horsehead fiddle." He pointed to his instrument.

"Nice. You should stop by the DrunkN Crab tomorrow evening. We are trying to get the place to do live music and the owner needs convincing"

"Grand. Let's do it." Ruhe nodded, apparently glad to have a perspective of this kind.

"Sounds great to me! I'm the roadie for the night, so let me know how you like your sound work. Do you have any speakers, otherwise I'm trying to hook you up to the house sound system."

"I got my own basic equipment, but if the house has anything more pro, be my guest, Fundai-san!"

Tetsu snorts. "I don't know if you've been to a Crab bar before...or maybe you have. I mean, they tend not to be big on flash but their have very solid fundamentals"

"I dig solid fundamentals. Sounds grand then!" Ruhe grinned, ruffling his otori.
