Getting a morning workout before this damned planet decided to laugh at Hide and spit in her face with unbearable heat and humidity was a great plan. Shoan didn’t have to wait very long at all for Hide, who had come in her typical workout attire. Brown athletic pants and a black tank top was all she needed this morning.

“Yo, Murame-san. Ready to work up a sweat?” Hide rolled her shoulder in place, giving Shoan a slight smirk.

She bows politely, her On fairly relaxed and friendly.

"Of course Matsu-san. I have a course all planned out to the farms, timed too, if you want to work up that sweat trying to beat my previous times?"

“Eh? What’s your previous times?” Hide returned the bow. She had almost forgotten that she was not hanging out with Yul or Mumei. “I mean I was gonna say yes regardless, just wondering is all.”

She took this time to stretch her legs. Didn’t want to get a cramp while trying her best to beat Shoan.

"90 minutes there and back, give or take. It depends on the traffic. When I've run a similar course with Kitsu-san we're...a little slower, but the goal there is just fitness."

Shoan raises an eyebrow ever so slightly at vigorous stretching, but quickly settles into her own limbering routine, obviously unwilling to give up any advantage.

“Then what should we set as our goal? 85 minutes? 80?” Hide jumped up onto her feet, giving her back a good stretch before falling into a relaxed stance. “I’m ready whenever.”

"80 minutes then, when has our Clan ever done things by halves?"
Shoan nods when Hide says she's ready

"Ah, that is good, you see-"
And then she turns and sprints out the door to try and get a head start.

“Hey!” Hide booked it, running after Shoan to catch up. “That was cheap, Murame-san!”

But, Hide didn’t seem to hold it against her. She was even laughing.

Shoan sounds pretty amused herself
"...It's only cheap if I lose!"
Shoan jumps down a set of stairs, narrowly dodging a servant carrying a pile of clean towels before pushing off a wall and hurtling out the escape door, looking back behind her to see how the Matsu was fairing.

“Shit.” Hide jumped down after Shoan, thankfully the servant had been spooked by the first Lion and had retreated back and away from Hide’s less graceful move of rolling with the impact and shouldering through the same escape door. She was like a cannonball on a mission. And that mission was to catch up with Shoan.

“Never took you for the playful type!”

"I am extremely competitive!"
Shoan is panting slightly as she blasts out the lobby and onto the street proper, thankfully the streets are still relatively empty this time of day.

"That and I am reasonably comfortable with your family Matsu-san, I learnt pretty soon that I had to get a headstart in the dojo."

“Oh! Matsu-trained! No wonder you’ve got a playful streak!” Hide decided it was nigh time to pick up her pace, her breath becoming heavier. She’s still a bit behind, but she’s trying her best to catch up!

"Something like that, my training was an experience. You remind me of my classmates!"

Hide is definitely gaining on Shoan on the straight as they both rocket down one of the city's main streets. Several heimin pulling carts piled high with cabbages are trying to cross the road and Shoan blanches before trying to slide under one of them, knocking a few vegetables free.

“Shiiiiiit.” Hide lost ground as she knew that she couldn’t make that kind of slide under, so she had to go around, barely slipping around one of the heimin without touching him.

They both hear a 'No! My cabbages!' from behind them as the race continues on.

Glancing behind her with a slight grin
"Nicely done Matsu-san! No way we're letting vegetables slow us down."

“Hah! I also didn’t take you for a trouble maker!” With no cabbage cart in the way, Hide doubled down on her speed, just to fully catch up to Shoan, her breaths coming out in slight pants.

"Technically this is all very law abiding...so long as we don't hit anything!"
Shoan is definitely starting to flag as Hide catches up with her, the road ahead widening slightly as the housing begins to thin out

Hide fell into the same pace as Shoan as she caught up to her, sweat on her brow. She flashed the other Lion a grin in between pants, “I guess you’re right... Hoo, I had you pegged wrong! You get to join me in the fun club of our delegation.”

"I didn't" pant "Know we had a fun club" pant "Do we have parties? Have I been missing out on all our delegation's fun?"
Up ahead is the first farm outside the city walls, a couple curious heimin look over at the two Lion hurtling towards them

“Yeah... I’m just a party all by myself!” Hide couldn’t help but wheeze out a laugh. Probably not a good idea to be laughing while running like this, but she was having her fun.
