The commercial district formed by a long street running around the city near the perimeter is colloquially known as 'the marketplace'. This is where the heimin craftsmen sell their wares as well as where the heimin come to dine if they wish not to eat at the communal kitchens assigned to them. The market road, as the place is also known, is rather quiet between sunrise and sunset with most heimin being busy at their assigned duties. From dusk to dawn, the marketplace becomes a hive of activity with the commoners eating, drinking and reveling to their heart's content.
