Pregame

To help players getting into character we are setting up a small pregame during 28th and 29th of August. This is by no means compulsory and if you don’t feel like taking part in the D0 you are free to ignore it.

How does it work then?

Pre-game roleplay takes place on the orbital shuttle to Shiro Yoake. The shuttle makes one trip per time slot and the ride takes about one hour, so only one scene can take place in the shuttle in each time slot. Since visitors will only need to ride the shuttle once, each character may only join a single pre-game scene.

Characters living on the world can assuming having visited the station and thus can take part to the pre-game as well.

To take part to the pre-game, simply create a thread on this forum, picking any of the free time slots or join an existing thread.

Also as the shuttle runs once per time slot, no two threads can take place at the same time slot. Do not create a thread for a time slot that is already taken.

Do note that no dice rolling is allowed in pregame threads.

Description


The shuttle taking the guests from the small space station on the orbit to Shiro Yoake is a former captain's gig and so the passenger compartment is rather spartan. Each passenger gets a large and uncomfortably hard plasteel seat with four-point harness. Those who have served in their's clan's military can appreciate just how inconvenient and secure the tall seats are, their design depending solely on functional requirements that unfortunately don't happen to take the human component into account. While capable of decent speeds for a craft of its size, the shuttle will take its time if only to allow the passengers as smooth ride as possible. A small drone on squeaky wheels moves slowly across the gallery, offering everyone a choice between watery green tea and low quality genmaicha.

The journey down takes almost an hour (Rokugani time), allowing the passengers plenty of time to get acquainted with each other.
