Male Asakaze Raker, about five feet tall from the hind legs to the tip of its ears. Otori ,the great birds of Asakaze that the Phoenix have domesticated, have several natural predators, ranging from the massive reavers to the agile and cunning rakers. While reavers tend to avoid habitated ares, preferring to follow the megadon herds in, the rakers have no qualms preying upon otori near human settlements, occasionally attacking lone humans in the fungal thickets. This forces the Phoenix to arrange hunting parties that scour the wilderness around the cities with hopes of thinning down the raker population. The rakers can fly, are agile and have an excellent hearing, making them nightmarishly hard to pin down.
Following a series of attacks that occurred at Nodogawa farm few days ago, the governor has declared a hunt. The miai participants are invited to join if they so wish. The occasion is not without controversy however as a group of local samurai have orchestrated a protest against the hunt, calling for more humane solution for the raker problem. The peaceful but loud protesters are carrying sings with phrases such as ‘You might be raker in next life’ and ‘Remember mercy’. The chanting group of protesters keeps a polite distance to the hunters as they prepare to leave, following them to the city gates when they eventually move out.
Magic: Magic is allowed though spells must be cast so that they cover the duration of the entire event, i.e. 3 hours. You can use multiple casts to achieve this as long as you have sufficient spell slots.

OutcomeOnce you have finished making your rolls, please post your total points to this thread along with a link to the relevant rolls.
The Hunt points represent the size of the prey - and any character scoring at least two Hunt points can claim to have downed a raker and will gain 2 points of glory. Characters that scored only a single point may claim to have injured the animal, even if it later escaped earning a single point of glory.
The character with the most Hunt points will earn 3 Courtship points, the character with the second most Hunt points will earn 2 Courtship points, and the character with the third most Hunt points will earn 1 Courtship point. Ties are broken by comparing the ‘Following the tracks’ rolls.
