"Castle of Winds, Yasuki-sama, which is an orbital castle orbiting Golden Fields. I've spent more of my life in space than planetside, but I've much come to appriciate the chances I get to be on a planet. Golden Fields is mostly agricultural, with plenty of mountains and wide plains. So not a terribly thrilling world compared to Asakaze."

She took a calm sip. "I've not heard much about Green Carp. So it's jungles and forests?"

"Jungles and Cities in fact. A bustling alagmation of residential and industrial plants, harobus and docks, but also the unkwon dangers of the wild. There's a saying on the Green Carp: The only difference between the cities and the jungle is that the beasts wear no suits." he said, maybe a bit homesick.

"That must be some well-dressed jungle animals then," she responded in a dead-pan tone, giving a half-smirk to the Yasuki.

She took another sip of the water-that-dared-call-itself-tea.

"How many of the Crab made it out here to the miai? I'm uncertain if I've gotten a full headcount of you all, but it seems to be mostly men, and only Hida-san as the sole women in your group?"

He smirked. Better be the hunter than the prey.

"Our whole delegation is: Me, Hiruma Chyoko-san, even though i don't know if she competes in the miai, Kuni Eriko-san, Hida Akemi-san, Fundai Tetsu-san and Yasuki Nakaba-san."

He didn't mentioned Koryn, as he was dead anyway.

"Mm, I see." She dismissed the wrestler as a miai-participant, as she had heard the show would be moving on from Asakaze eventually.

"It seems a weight of men then. How do your fellow Crab feel about mirror marriages?" Hyeon-ju asked in a thoughtful tone. Although it was a rather direct question, one she had asked her own kin about earlier, but she felt it was best to get that one sorted out.

"The crab wishes rather fertile connections to fill the rows, not that we are averse to other forms of alliances, but the war demands its toll"

The Utaku blinked. Very clearly confused and befuddled by Nishida's choice of words.

"Fertile connections?" she sat a bit straighter. "What exactly are you talking about, Yasuki-sama? Are you saying that mirror-marriages don't have offspring?"

"I should probably go further out. The clan as a whole of course accepts any kind of marriage, after all, mirror marriages are no problem in today's world. But it is tradtition within my bloodline to conceive in the traditional way. This has been the case since the beginning of the fifth century and the tratidion has been kept this way. Therefore my personal wish for a wedding is quite clear." he explained.

She wondered what this particular clan lineage would do once it ended up in a situation that required a different touch. Still, this only confirmed to her working theory that almost all the men at this miai were terrified of homosexuality.

"I see," Hyeon-ju responded cooly. If words could lower the temperature in a room, then her tone might've dropped it a few degrees. "That certainly cuts off potential avenues for our clans to find a marriage-alliance this miai, especially if the rest of your clan is... similarly inclined."

Nishida remained calm. "I hardly believe that this is so. After all, we have at least one mirror match going on. However, it limits my options, that is correct." he replied.

She assumed he must have meant with someone not Unicorn, as she was quite certain he didn't mean that any of the Crab men were pursuing such a match with Yul or Ruhe.

"I meant between the Unicorn and the Crab, Yasuki-sama," Hyeon-ju clarified.

A nod. "We could arrange a meeting with Moto Ruhe-san and Fundai Tetsu-san. These two had a good chemestry when they worked on the Gig. I don't know much about Shinjo Yul-san so i can't make a statement for him. Yasuki Nakaba-san is more on the practical side, if the unicron has interest in that." he said.

"I would say Yasuki Nakaba-san has already made his intentions regarding the Unicorn quite clear before. I see no reason to re-tread that path." She made a dismissive wave with her hand regarding that idea.

"Yul-san has already scoped out a beneficial match to our clan that we are keen to see to fruition, and Ruhe-san is seeking a possible match with a Scorpion. As both men have performed excellently in our host's challenges, they have the odds on their side to be quite likely to choose their matches, as well."

All in all, the Unicorn were high on the scoreboard and could easily be kingmakers when it came to these matches. Or perhaps matchmakers was the more accurate term given the context.

"Alright then. Good that we talked about it" he said calm. "Is there anything else Utaku-san wants to talk about?"

Had she been born a brash person, or a Matsu, Hyeon-ju was certain this meeting would have gone rather differently. Instead, she calmly shook her head.

"No, I believe we are done here, Yasuki-sama." Still courteous, if a tad cold. "I thank you for your time."

Rising, she offered him a bow befitting of his station.

"I thank you for your time" he said calm. "Until me met again"

"Until then, carry the Fortunes, Yasuki-sama."

One more bow, and then the Utaku made her exit.

To her, it seemed that her impression above the shuttle had been quite accurate. The Crab here had no interest in the Unicorn except as an after-thought, and thus were not worthy of their efforts. She had made the move now to initiate these talks, and it had gone nowhere.

It would certainly make for an interesting report to her superiors.
