Mal-Chin was here to support his friend as best he could. That included trying out her game!

He'd be volunteering and trying other things later, for now, his cosplay was waiting.

Izumi had quite liked the sound of this game. He might even manage to make some 'political' points . . . . nah he was Fox, he'd make a forest.

"Ohhi,Asako-san. Youherefortheexplorerfleetcolonisationthinggameaswell?"

A promise is a promise and even if Nishida was not necessarily known for his credibility, he still wanted to test Chiruha's creation, if ever someone asked him why, then of course only to find out a possible market value.

"Minna-san" he greeted everyone.

Izumi looked round at the newcomer, purple hair flipping around with him.

"Ohhi, Yasuki-san. Don'tthinkwe'vemetproperlyyet. I'mKitsuneIzumi."

Mal-Chin bows to them both. "Yasuki-sama, Kitsune-sama. Good to see you both."

"In fact we've met on the wresting show, even though, Kitsune-sama was very excited that day"

he then turned to Mal-chin: "It's good to see you again, Asako-san, how have you been?"

"Busy with tasks. Some concerns, and sadly I was not able to get my song broadcasting, but faring well personally." He nods in thanks to the question.

"Yourself Yasuki-sama?"

Chiruha could be found somewhere among the various tables that had sent up their boardgame and miniature creations in hopes of being the next big analogue game. She was barely on the heels of recovering from her exhausting efforts at the Robotics Rally and was forced to cram all of her work overnight, as well as manage the con with the Bring-Fan-Con-to-Asakaze committee.

She wore one of the volunteer t-shirts which was bright teal and there was the graphics of several tall mushrooms, each acting as a sort of stage for the things featured at the convention. Fuu the Fawn was showed seemingly meandering this forest of mushroom geekdom. She sat at a circular table where there was a board with several hexagonal grids, some of the grids had planets on them and others had nebulas and asteroid fields. Littered on the board were many miniature wooden spaceships that were painted by her. They looked like a rush job and perhaps looked more basic than detailed.

She was nursing a thermos with kaf before she perked up and notice some familiar faces that hovered close by. "Oh! Kitsune-sama! Yasuki-sama! Mal-Chin-san! Good afternoon," she enthusiastically bowed to greet them with a beaming smile.

"Good afternoon! I hope the con is going well!" He offers a bow and a smile.

Izumi looked lost for a moment before remembering the person sat next to him at the wrestling who had said a few things in between the Fox hollering at the Crab wrestlers . . . .

"Ohyes . . . totallyforgotaboutthat, sorry."

Then Chiruha spoke up and he turned to her.

"OhthisisyourgameAsako-san?"

Bayushi Akagi happened to be walking by the table, but got drawn in by the intriguing name and graphics of the board game.

"Hello, minna-san," the Scorpion said with a bow. "Explorer Fleet sounds like a fun game concept. How does it work?"

"Pretty well so far! I think we've got a great turn out so far! I think we've far exceeded our expected numbers, thanks to the visitors and the miai, of course!" she beamed.

"Yes! This is my game, I've been working on it for a year now, Kitsune-sama," she said as she gestured to the board with a grand gesture. It was custom-made, judging from the pieces that she carved herself and the holo-slates that were pressed together. The art ranged from borrowed art assets and coloured doddles that were done by hand. There were cards on the board that were composed of mainly pieces of paper slipped atop of old Fantasy Fight cards and laminated together. "If the four of you would like to participate, I could do a quick demo run for you of my game! I've done a lot of balance of the game but I think it's finally fit for playing!"

She clapped her hands together as she began her presentation. "In Explorer Fleet, you command a fleet of ships looking to explore and expand across the universe. It's a race where you're looking to discover, race, and colonize the most planet across the universe. During this race, you'll have to contend with dangers such as meteor storms, nebulas, other anomalies...all while trying to manage your resources and navigate your ship to their intended destination. Does that sound interesting to everyone?"

"Now that I've finally had a chance to to see it. Yes!" He claps his hands energetically.

"Wonderful!" she said with a raised fist, knowing that she could count on Mal-Chin!

"Here are the factions you can pick from..." she said as she laid out cards with various doddles of what looked like non-anamorphic animals that wore crew uniforms and spacesuits. There was a group of Otori, Camel, Ferret and Gecko

"We have the Otori Otokodate, the Camel Consortium, the Ferret Federation and finally the Gecko Group. They each have their own subtle strengths and weaknesses!"

"Space exploration? That sounds like fun!" Akagi said, smiling. "Hmm, I think Kitsune-sama should maybe have first pick of factions, then Yasuki-sama? Does that sound fair?"

The Scorpion gave the space animal cards a closer look, peering closely at the illustrations. "Why, the crew animals are adorable! Did you draw these, Asako-san?"

"ItsoundsgreatandItotallycalldibsontheOtoriOtokodate!"

He bounced into a seat closest to the setup for the Otori.

Nishida listened to the explanation of Explorer Fleet. Resource management was his thing. "Hmmmmm." He looked at the fractions left over. "I take the Ferret Federation, Chiruha-san. I look forward to the game."

Chiruha brushed some hair from her forehead and giggled at the compliment from Akagi as she admitted it. "I did! Thank you! I know they are a little basic...but I hope it gives you an idea of the setting? You're all part of an animal space fleet looking to explore the galaxy."

She slid over the various miniature ships, cube tokens and cards over to Izumi's side of the table for the Otori, while doing the same for Nishida for the Ferret Federation. Then she looked to Mal-Chin and Akagi to make their decisions. "The Camel Consortium is more steady while the Gecko Group does better at trading."

"I'm up for repping the Camels how about?" He responds looking over the board.

"Very well, the Gecko Group shall explore the galaxy for fun and profit," Akagi proclaimed, as he claimed the gecko-themed tokens and cards.

"Hmm, do I play my 'Gorudan Gecko' leader card now?" the Bayushi asked, as he fanned out his cards and selected the one with the highest stats. Greed is good, the card's flavor text read. "It seems my faction is not very honorable," Akagi chuckled.
