Just outside the temple and under the massive overhang Ichika just managed to catch up with him, Moto Ruhe she heard his name from someone certainly. With a call out, "Moto-san!" from some many feet away she gave him a quick wave and came with a little pep in her step moving over to him before he might have left the area.

All around the rain poured down, the thunder boomed and the lightning struck. Yet, under the massive overhang of the temple they were at least safe from the elements here.

How he managed to hear her over the rain drum and thunder could be probably attributed to his honed musical ear, able to pick out undertones from a larger harmony (or cacophony, depending on taste). For him, the nature's violence was indeed like music, and a profound inspiration, both acoustic in tactile. Hence, he wasn't avoiding being in the open, he sought it. Admittedly, his studded leathers did not soak nearly as quickly as fibre fabrics, so he was mostly just a big black dripping ball of honest laugh when he waved back and changed direction toward her.

Meeting up with him in the nice cover provided she bowed first, "Thank you for stopping, Moto-san. You are Moto Ruhe-san, I hope?" she asked, rising from her brow with a small laugh deposited into a sleeve.

He returned the bow. Of all people, a Crane wouldn't probably appreciate a wet handshake.

"That I am, well met. But you have advantage over me, Doji-san. I think I have seen you somewhere, but no-one has told me your name before." Grinning, he raked his hair backwards with his fingers so as not to drip that much and not sprinkle her with water.

"I heard some talk about your, well.. your impassioned delivery just now before," she said with a smile. Watching the manner in how he dealt with the condition of being damp in a manner most unlike one she was used to, it inspired a chuckle.

"Only, I didn't know what it was. Just some of the proctors talking," she said with a soft giggle. "Now.." she said, leaning in with a smile, "I am ever so curious. Just how did you solve the issue?"

Ah! That was murky waters. The Crane might have been perplexed by him hitting a sweet spot with the judges. Still, there was zero reason to not repeat his earlier sincere approach.

"A live instrumental play-off of opposing musicians of the Tiger and the Locust, transmitted before the population of the disputed land. The performer's Clan whose music connects best with the audience takes it."

Ichika brought her hands together, listening, and what she heard was the absolute craziest idea she certainly never thought possible. Which, naturally meant, "That's amazing Moto-san!" she laughed unreservedly. Leaning into her laugh a little she quickly recovered herself.

"I would have never thought to suggest something like that," she said, a few more giggles. "I did see something about that.. kinda a loophole I guess in the histories they provided? A little but.." she laughed some more, trying hard to keep this one reserved with a deftly placed sleeve of her kimono. "Well, I didn't think it was anything that could be used, honestly," she let out some last residual laughter.

"Your approach," she smiled, giving him a little nod, "it really is amazing as they seemed to think, Moto-san," she sighed at the end of the giggles. Leaving just the warmth of her post-laugh smile.

"Who knows, maybe it'll work out." Ruhe was happy he gave the girl an honest cheer. He looked at the water trickling from the awning, then back at Ishiyo. "If all else fails, there's always music."

"There is a beauty in art that certainly transcends," she said, but it didn't really sound like she was speaking from her own words. Adding her voice to the reiteration of the common thought.

"Mmm," she vocalized as she thought, glancing back behind them a bit. "Would you like to sit for a little while, Moto-san?" she asked, looking back with a raised brow. "Might be a nice way to spend the afternoon for a little while, yea?"

Just as the words left her mouth her communicator went off, with a little chuckle she looked to the Moto for his answer all the same.

"If you recommend it, we may as well try it!" Ruhe chuckled, and looked around for some roofed bench. He'd be fine sitting on the steps but she was a Crane so who knew, maybe suggesting that would be gauche. "Do you like watching the rain and listening to thunders?"

"I do!" she said, with a bright smile, slipping out her purse she opened it and pulled free her communicator. Waving it a little as the notification sound yet played, "As we walk over, may I take this quickly Moto-san?"

"You're a free woman, how could I mind?" He gestured and looked toward the rain to give her privacy.

"Thanks!" she said happily, turning slightly as she pulled the communicator up quickly and answered before the notification stopped.

"Doji Ichika!" she said, happily answering the call.

Ruhe leaned back against a beam and thought about thunders.

Ichika wasn't that concerned with anyone overhearing, and she kept close enough to Ruhe that he'd get pieces of the other side of the conversation too.



"Oh! I would love to!" she said, cheerily. "I'm here with Moto Ruhe-san," she said, glancing over to him with a smile. "So I shouldn't talk long but give her my information, yea? She can contact me whenever she wants to go out and look around!" she smiled, glancing off toward the rain coming down some ways away.

"Thanks! You too!" she called back quickly, as the call cut off only a moment after. Looking down at her communicator with an odd expression, furrowed brows in the mix. Ichika paused, looked over to Ruhe and smiled. "Thanks for waiting, sorry about that Moto-san," she said, dipping her head while she also slipped her communicator back into her purse.

"A lass gotta do what she gotta do." Ruhe shrug-smirked. "I've been looking for a place to sit down but everything's wet around here, so walking it is I guess." He had wrought off some more moist from his hair. "So, enjoying this gathering?"

"I am, very much!" she said happily with a nod. "How about you, Moto-san. Been getting acquainted with people well I hope?" she said, stepping up closer in a manner of being more conversational with the distance.

If she was stepping closer, that was probably a good thing to do, so he stepped closer too.

"I meet people, yeah. Not awful lot though, even as I'd like to meet more women so that when the pairing comes it's not weird that we haven't even spoken before. If I come to choose, I'd generally like to know whom I am going to share stuff with for quite a while."
