"That would be convenient, though it could making stalking them feel a bkt awkward." He smirked. "Strolling through the fungus woods like you own the place. Only to realize the man eaten mushrooms attack via movement."

"Which do you think though?" Hayato gestured down the line, indicating the remaining few jeeps.

Shoan’s hand arcs towards a beige SUV before diverting at the last second to a batter but formidable looking green 4x4

“That one is reliable, it’s an older model and the dark green actually blends in somewhat.”

"I think you're right." He looked the vehicle over and nodded to himself. "I don't think its a particularly offensive color either."

"It's nkt beige or grey of course, but nothing is perfect. Right?"

“Hai, if it was then the drive might just blend right in. So it’s not perfect, but it will do.”
Glancing over at him
“Are you going to take it then?”

"It would be embarrassing to lose is it for that reason too." He smirked. " 'So, what happened to the vehicle Tsuruchi-sama?' 'Ah, well, I parked it next to this mushroom and then the next thing I know....' I'd never be able to live it down."

"But yeah, think I will."

“At least you might provoke the creation of a ‘ghost car’ myth. Something to look forward to.”
She nods at his decision and then stares at a heimin sales attendant until he bustles over to attend to the Mantis.

The Lion gets a nod of thanks as Hayato attends to his business, and soon enough he had keys in hand and was ready to roll.

"Car Acquired." He offered cheerfully as he returned "You might have a point though." He looked over tat the beige vechicle. "Maybe I'll try renting that one next time and seeing that happens."

“You never know what will happen until the heimin start screaming about the ‘Beige Banshee’. Although that is perhaps not a particularly intimidating name for a spectre. Congratulations on this car anyway Tsuruchi-san. May it serve you well.”

"I dunno in this land of mushrooms Beige might be more intimidating then either of us give it credit for." Hayato offered with a soft laugh, and a shake of his head.

"But it should, at least for the day i rented it for." He replied looking back towards the vechicle. "Want to take a spin in her? I'm finished here for now, so I suppose I can drive you back to the Inn if you want."

She gives him a slow look, then back to the vehicle, then back to him
"Yes actually, I would appreciate that. Thank you Tsuruchi-san."

Did she think he was going to abscond with her off into the wilderness or something? For his part at least Tal had no idea.

"Lets go then." He offered as he moved towards the driver's side and opened the door.

Shoan hops in and fiddles with the passenger side chair until it slides back, giving her a clean shot behind the driver's side if necessary, that done she checks her sidearm is free before nodding contentedly

"Very good choice Tsuruchi-san"

"Prepared to slay any monsters with gun arms we encounter of the wat back to the inn then?" Hayato asked as he adjusted his own seat and started the car.

"And thanks, your advice was rather good it seems."

And then there was another time paradox




"I was already interested in the creatures, and then they decided to cause an incident. Thankfully everything worked out."
Shoan is quiet for a few moments before she frowns slightly at the city passing on either side
"Tsuruchi-san...have I actually asked you what your duties are?"



Her voice completely neutral
"Professional dancer with a passing interest in firearms?"

"Nailed it."

He offered her an amused smile before turning his eyes back to the road. "Really though, I'm a marksman with the Tsuruchi Rangers."

"The Tsuruchi Rangers? Don't they have quite a reputation?"
Shoan said, probably knowing more about the Rangers than her player.

"A bit of one." Hayato replied with a shrug. "You can ask Ujina-san about other clans view of us. But he didn't seem quite fond of the fact himself."

"To me though it's something I'm proud to be part of."

Double eyebrow raise
“Don’t tell me your division ‘hunts rabbit’ Tsuruchi-san?”

He tilted his head back. "Woohahahaha. Now you know our secret, and it will spell your doom."

This was followed by a slight cough and he cleared his throat. "Sorry. Really though we hunt all kinds of things. On my first posting it was mostly wildlife though."

Shoan looks at him with a completely flat On before it slowly starts to crack and she has to look away, covering her mouth.

“Oh dear me. It’s not quite how I thought my doom would come, but at least it’s at the hands of a great hunter of cars. I’m assuming the wildlife was... energetic?”
