"Certainly a good idea, Moto-san!" she said with a light smile. "If you don't mind my asking, Moto-san," she said with a light smile, leaning in a little conspiratorially. "Might I ask what you're hoping to find in a spouse?"

He raised her brow when she leaned in, then winked and smirked. "That's a hard one, because I have no way of expecting what kind of life awaits me with a woman beside me! I like new, unexpected things, so to make too many preconditions would defeat the purpose. I guess she should be open to new things, maybe a bit reckless, have her quirks, and not hate the music I like."

He stroked his beard. "How about you?"

"It's always good to have an idea on a preference," she said, a little smile. "Better to work with together for your Lord," she said, another small but short smile. "As for me, Moto-san.. I was prepared for quite a few years to be ready to be a good spouse to anyone, but," she leaned in a little, conspiratorially. "All I want is someone who I can retire from our Duties with. Spend the night together and laugh when we want to laugh. Support one another."

"Retiring together, eh." He chuckled ruefully. "That may not be me then. You see, all my ancestors I know died young and I am afraid I may meet the same fate." He was an honest man, he wouldn't hide something like this from a potential wife. "It's why I try living to the fullest. On other accounts, I am all for spending nights, supporting and laughing!" He ended on a brighter note, looking at her with kindled interest.

"Retiring together would be nice too," she said, bringing her sleeve up and giggling into it, "but I meant retiring each night after our duties," she waved her hand, it was a small misspoken phrase.

"But it does sound nice, yea? Something to keep a spirit ready and able to approach the next days challenges," she smile brightly.

He had genuinely misapprehended so he patted his forehead with a snicker when she explained. Well, it was likely a Crane euphemism anyway. But if her purpose was to turn his imagination toward the whole idea of retiring for the night with her, she was succeeding."Sounds very soul-lifting! Now I am wondering what kind of temperament you'd seek in a husband for the retiring."

"Someone I can sit and talk with, joke with, and laugh with, yea?" she said, a little smile.

He reflected. "Gotcha. Any favourite joke?"
