And since I don't want to trouble GMs with stuff they have probably covered in PFs, I'll try to tap into collective wisdom: what should I put in the travelling pack to be equipped with devices and accessories to make, record and proliferate music (one slot is taken by furry studded swimming trunks)? If something can't be fit into the pack, I can throw some money on it.

Trying to remember back to Banner 2, I think you need a portable computer to record and mix music properly. A holorecorder will work to record an impromptu performance but you need the comp to tweak it.

For playing music, Tassu already added a radio thingy as a boombox somewhere on this forum.

That, and radio is 4 bu. I presume you can plug a holorecorder into it to play the audio part, though it's also designed to allow you to listen to the propaganda, I mean news, broadcasts. But I realize I never actually verified that. I tend toward asking forgiveness rather than permission on that kind of finicky detail.
