Tsugiharu nodded.

"Ah, somewhat troublesome." he agreed. "I guess the other patrons will be out of luck then if they come looking for it while you borrow it."

Apparently the Spider didn't see an issue with the Mantis removing the rare first edition from the library for her own education.

Atena nodded. "Should tell the monks that I will be taking this." The girl sighed. "I just hope there is no donation fee."

Tsugiharu shrugged and gestured to the chaos they were surrounded by.

"I sincerely doubt they would notice it's absence. Of course, if you ask, there is a chance they'll refuse your request. Not the end of the world since you could return here to read it....assuming it doesn't get lost again. Of course, with your duties with the miai, it'd be a lot more convenient if you could read it wherever." he reasoned.

"Right." She nodded. "Fukurokujin would not mind if the knowledge is going to be put to good use, neh?" Hopefully, it will help future generations. "And by what it looks like the place is not easy to understan."

Tsugiharu nodded.

"So when not rediscovering ancient, lost knowledge on a Phoenix frontier world, how has the miai been for you so far, Moshi-san?" he asked, enjoying talking to her now that her search was complete.

"I think I messed up last night... I am enjoying myself. Meeting new people and really the bird thing... was kind of neat." She smiled. "Meeting new people is good." She looked at the Spider. "What about you? Anything interesting?"

Tsugiharu nodded.

"Well the Otori riding and the xeno-ikebana were both interesting. Neither something I had ever tried before, and I did not distinguish myself amongst the many competitors, but I did at least earn the right to have an otori mount during the miai." he explained.

"I decided to let the otori go. They are magnificent beasts but I feel they should be free in their environment." She smiled. "Are you going to go exploring the outskirts? I guess the otori would be the best way to travel the lands."

Tsugiharu was somewhat surprised by the Moshi's actions. Why give up a free ride when your hosts provided it?

"Oh perhaps. I'm really more of a creature of the city than the country, so I expect to spend a great deal more time enjoying what the city has to offer. I do plan to go visit the Otori after I leave here though. Our hosts recommended spending some time to get acquainted with them before taking them out."

"I see." then she chuckled. "Then it was quite the catch neh? Putting your attention on the otori than dating a nice probable mate... Oh sorry... I didn't mean to sound so... anoo... eto... rough." She shrunk.

Tsugiharu coughed at that.

"You wound me to the quick, Moshi-san. To suggest I'm only worthy of dating something literally bird-brained, forever putting you out of my reach. It's so cruel." he said, mock hurt.

She opened her eyes wide and a lost for words.. "Anoo...etoo..." She remembered something. "Unless you prefer dating the bird's food, a nice bookworm, neh. That is achievable, unless... some other winged creature appears." She sighed.

Tsugiharu can't help but laugh at the Moshi's response.

"Ah, it's ok Moshi-san, really it is. I'm impressed that you caught me off-guard with your initial jab, and so honor demanded I continue the joke."

He shook his head.

"Truly, there's a sharp wit hidden behind that pretty countenance. I was truly not expecting such a masterful turn of the conversation." he praised.

He shook his head.

"But no, I thought that riding Otori out to view say the lake would be a pleasant way to spend time with someone. But if you are without an Otori the more traditional rental of a car remains. Better in some ways, given the heat on this world wouldn't you say?"

The Moshi pondered and blushed. She shook her head and smiled. "I... I don't think..." She gave a gracious bow. "I would be honored Kuchiki san. .. to share a ride with you to the lake." Then she blushed again. Was Coming here making her bold or is it the company? "I mean... If... if you want to... I..." She just facepalmed.

Tsugiharu nodded.

"In a couple days, I think that would be pleasant indeed, Moshi-san...but rather than dwell too deeply upon our future plans, we should take the opportunity we have right now to enjoy each other's company yes?" he offered giving her a chance to reset her On.

She took a deep breath and calmed down. "Hai... the future is always untold." She nodded again. "Enjoying company is nice, you know what we need a bit of tea." She smiled.

Tsugiharu tilted his head at that.

"Well, it's said that tea is the perfect compliment for reading a book." he allows. "But....where will you get tea, Moshi-san?"

"Perhaps there is a vending machine somewhere near the door." She wondered if she saw one or not. "Did you notice anything like that?"

Tsugiharu considered that. They were in the commercial district after all, while there might not be one right near the door, there would definitely be one nearby.

"I suppose such could be acquired...although, I'd need the conelantern back, Moshi-san, leaving you in the dark unable to read. Rather than bringing the tea to the book, it might make more sense to take the book to the tea?" he suggested.

"Oh... right..." She chuckled sheepishly giving the lantern back. "Sorry... i forgot... must be the company." She smiled.
